CBS had a HUGE surprise for the fans of the NCIS franchise today. They announced that Mark Harmon will make an on-camera guest appearance on NCIS: Origins, the show on which he is the narrator, on Veterans’ Day.
In the crossover one-night event airing on Veterans Day, younger Gibbs (Austin Stowell) and the team investigate the small-town death of a naval officer in the ‘90s – a case that’s unexpectedly reopened in the present day.
Gibbs is still in Alaska, but he is not alone. So, who is he with? Please say, his real-life wife, Pam Dawber!
“I’m very proud of the storytelling that David and Gina are doing on ORIGINS,” Harmon said. “They continue to push boundaries and dive deeper into the characters’ backstories. They came to me with an idea for Gibbs that I liked, and it seemed like a good time to check in with him. I hope fans enjoy it.”
Maybe Harmon will like being on-camera again so much that he will come out of retirement?
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for the new seasons of Will Trent and The Rookie. And today, ABC finally announced when those shows and a few others will be back.
The big news is that American Idol is starting earlier in the year, will only air one night, and the contestants are not going to Hollywood for the second part of televised auditions. Instead, they are going to Nashville for one round.
Do I smell a 9-1-1: Nashville/American Idol crossover episode in the works? I wouldn’t be surprised if that is in the works.
And talking about in the works, Scrubs is no longer in that stage and returns to ABC, after a 15-year break, on February 25th with back-to-back episodes.
Today, Hulu released the disappointing season 5 finale for Only Murders in the Building. And they hinted that next season, Steve Martin Short and Selena Gomez would be heading over the pond for season 6.
Hours after the episode premiered, the streamer confirmed that Charles (Martin), Oliver (Short), and Mabel (Gomez) are leaving New York City for London to solve their next murder that landed at their doorstep, I mean, gate.
Spoiler time: What was the point of saving The Arconia if they are not even going to be there? Just a thought.
Another thought, it feels like next season might be their last.
Over the weekend, Dylan Efron revealed that he broke his nose during a rehearsal for tonight’s Halloween-themed Dancing with the Stars. But that is nothing as compared to what Jan Ravnik has.
What is it? His partner, Jen Affleck, gave him the flu. And you know how men react when they get the flu. They say it is worse than giving birth.
So pray for him because he is going to need them to make it through to next week. Although, after what Maksim Chmerkofskiy said about him not thinking that Taylor Swift’s backup dancer has no business being on the dancing competition, he might have gotten the extra votes he needs to advance.
However, I will be voting for Andy Richter because it is his birthday today. And it would suck if he and Emma Slater were eliminated on his 59th birthday.
