When will ABC’s midseason shows premiere?
October 28th, 2025 under ABC, American Idol 9+, Donald Faison, Nathan Fillion, Ramón Rodríguez, Zach Braff. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for the new seasons of Will Trent and The Rookie. And today, ABC finally announced when those shows and a few others will be back.

The big news is that American Idol is starting earlier in the year, will only air one night, and the contestants are not going to Hollywood for the second part of televised auditions. Instead, they are going to Nashville for one round.

Do I smell a 9-1-1: Nashville/American Idol crossover episode in the works? I wouldn’t be surprised if that is in the works.

And talking about in the works, Scrubs is no longer in that stage and returns to ABC, after a 15-year break, on February 25th with back-to-back episodes.

A Donald Trump President Carol with the Three Ghosts of Late Night
September 30th, 2025 under Donald Faison, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert. [ Comments: none ]

Donald Trump says he doesn’t need a lot of sleep, and that is probably because he has a lot of nightmares, similar to the type that Ebenezer Scrooge had in A Christmas Carol.

Tonight, he was visited by the Ghost of President Past, the Ghost of President Present, and the Ghost of President Future.

The Past was played by Seth Meyers, who was there hosting the White House Correspondents’ Dinner when Barack Obama made the joker look like such a fool that he decided to run for president because of that night.

The Present stars Stephen Colbert, whose monologues have driven micro-stem so crazy that he thinks he got The Late Show host fired.

Finally, we welcome Jimmy Kimmel, who just won’t go away and will still haunt him in the future.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see A Donald Trump President Carol. Sadly, unlike Scrooge, I don’t think he will ever change. Therefore, only MAGAts get a happy ending, and we are all the Tiny Tim’s in the story.

While this movie will never happen, we got a glimpse of what the poster for The Three Ghosts would look like.

Kimmel brought Jimmy Kimmel Live to Brooklyn this week and had Colbert on as a guest. Meyers was there to support his brother, Josh, who reprised his role of Gavin Newsom. The California Governor is another one of Trump’s nightmares, but that is a different Charles Dickens book.

Back to the Three Wise Men of Late Night, I love that picture of them together, rubbing salt in Trump’s wounds. And with his laser-thin skin, there are so many wounds, which is why we are in the mess. The fact that at 79, he is still obsessed with revenge and not enjoying his old age with his family is so sad, but not as sad as the state that America is in because of him.

Scrubs scrubs back in for a table read
September 26th, 2025 under Bill Lawrence, Donald Faison, Zach Braff. [ Comments: none ]

For years, fans have been wanting Scrubs to check back in with new episodes, and ABC said they are finally making that happen. However, I never believe it is happening until it happens.

Today, it was confirmed that it is happening because Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes, John C. McGinley, and producer Bill Lawrence showed up for their first table read for the sequel!

Looking at them in this photo, it is hard to believe it has been 15 years since their show ended because they look just as close and like they have not aged a day since the series finale!

How excited are you that Scrubs is back?

Sctubs is scrubbing up with ABC again
July 10th, 2025 under Bill Lawrence, Donald Faison, Zach Braff. [ Comments: none ]

Scrubs aired on NBC for seven seasons, but then they cancelled it. ABC picked it up for an eighth season, but only aired it for two more seasons. Now, 15 years later, ABC wants it back, so they ordered a sequel.

Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke have all signed on to be part of it. Variety reports that more of the original cast is expected to return.

Season 10 finds JD (Braff) and Turk (Faison) scrubbing in together for the first time in a long time- medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart, and some surprises along the way.

Series creator Bill Lawrence said, “Scrubs means so very much to me. So excited for the chance to get the band back together.“

Fans have been asking for the sitcom to return for a while, and now they are getting it. So they better watch when Scrubs joins ABC’s lineup later this television season.

How did The CW not pick up Powerpuff Girls?
March 6th, 2025 under Donald Faison, The CW. [ Comments: none ]

In 2021, The CW shot a pilot for a possible live-action Powerpuff Girls series with Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron, and Yana Perrault but decided not to move forward.

Three years later, leaked footage was released on social media, and it was not like the cartoon version we knew.

The girls were all grown up and wanted nothing to do with their personas due to accidentally killing someone who was out to get them. After his death, they go from beloved to be hated.

Several years after that incident, Bubbles still dresses like herself on Hollywood Blvd to make enough money to buy more alcohol. Buttercup is a real-life hero who never wants to put on the costume again. And Blossom is just stressed.

The three of them decide to come to see their dad, played by Donald Faison, and evil comes for revenge and to destroy Townsville. And it looks like he will succeed until the Powerpuff Girls save the day.

And now, they go from zeroes to heroes all over again.

I don’t know why The CW opted not to pick up this show because it looked like it would’ve been a lot of fun. Oh, I know, that is why. The CW was dark, and this show was light.
