Sue Trowbridge, who runs the site Interbridge noticed something strange about the guest booking for the late night shows on August 8th. Since she has been listing which people are going to be on what talk shows since 1994, she would know if something is out of the ordinary.
What did she notice? She saw that Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert all have a “Special Guest TBA.” Who this guest is, we have no idea since they are to be announced.
Here are some of my theories. My first thought is Beyonce is going to release an album on the 9th and she is going to make the announcement on their shows. Or maybe one of the studios is releasing a secret movie next Friday? Could Oprah Winfrey or Michelle Obama be announcing that they are running for President of the United States? What about a bunch of celebrities announcing a telethon to raise money for something? Avengers: Endgame is coming out on home video the 13th, what if a cast member appears on each show with a special announcement.
Here is another interesting question, how will they handle it? Will they each get an exclusive with said guest? They all tape and air at different times. Would they all set a certain time so they could all interview them at the same time in a group interview? Will the guest give all of them a pre-taped statement? Will they each interview the person individually? Since Conan airs first, we will have to wait until T0ursday at 11p to find out.
Who do you think the mystery guest is? It has to be someone HUGE and it is not television show related.
Seth Meyers and Rihanna went day drinking and they got totally wasted. Could be because they drank shots, beer, champagne with a Twinkie in the glass, champagne in a chocolate bunny, Rum, Rye Whiskey with milk and more shots of Tequilla. I would be 💩faced halfway through that menu, but somehow they went all the way to the end.
Granted Rihanna was laughing at/with the Late Night host the whole time and we were giggling with her. In fact, I laughed so much with them, I feel drunk too.
The two drank, played a drinking game, gave each other advice, Meyers tried his really really bad pick up lines on her, she put her makeup on him and he sang and danced to her songs for her. Which is why she could not stop smiling. I had no idea she was laugher until now. I like it.
I also would like to see the NBC host do show his drunk every night from now on. He is even more endearing drunk and there are not that many men you can say that about. At least in all of my experience of getting drunk with boys.
The thing that is great about Meyers is he rarely does viral bits. When he does, they are absolutely brilliant. It is another reason why I say he is the best late night host on the big three. He is second to Conan O’Brien when I compare them all.
Yesterday on Late Night, Bryan Cranston admitted that he would play jokes on Breaking Bad co-star Aaron Paul.
Since Paul was just a baby at the time, he was very gullible. Therefore, Walter White would take advantage of that. Cranston would go up to him and be like, “Hey man, it’s been great.” Paul did not know what he meant, so the Tony nom would be like you haven’t read the next script yet? Then after a while, he would do it again. This time, he was like, “The next best thing to being on a show for a long time is a great death scene…You’re gonna rock that death scene.”
Now you know why Paul said bitch all the time on the show, it was his way of him letting his co-star know how he felt about all of the mind games he was playing on him. Poor Pau. It is funny, but mean!
Sometimes when you host a late night show, you want to know something from your guest that no one else wants to know and you actually get to ask it. Yesterday, legendary cult director John Waters was on Late Night and Seth Meyers wanted to know one thing from all of his movies. Shockingly, it was Divine related.
Instead, the NBC host wanted to know how he got two rats to go at in the movie Pecker. The director explained that he had a trainer on set who was not doing the job. Therefore, Waters tried dirty talk to get them in the mood and that did not work. Could be because the trainer’s child was there and heard it all unbeknownest to him. It is hard to perform with a kid in the room.
How did they do it to get them to do it? The prop master just put one rat on top of the other and shook them back and forth!
Thank gosh for late night television because where else would you learn things like that! That is why NBC is The More You Know network.

Most people who saw Borat did not find themselves laughing even once. Charlize Theron made up for it for all of us. She told Seth Meyers on Late Night yesterday, that she laughed so hard half way through the movie that her neck locked up.
It was so bad that she had to be taken away in an ambulance and spent five days in the hospital because of it. Even though she is healed now, she still has not seen the rest of the movie. Which normal people would tell her is a good thing, but I think she might actually like it.
You know, I wonder if Sacha Baron Cohen knows about this. If he does not, then someone needs to tell him. This way he will book her for his next prohect and she will laugh all the way to bank or maybe the hospital. While we go to see that movie and not understand why she thought it was so funny.
