Ariana Grande has been all over the World promoting Wicked: For Good, meeting fans and talking to the press. Because of that, she got something wicked, as in COVID.
Maybe if she says, “Vivahlos vivahlos meno non cordo meno,” her illness will go away. Although it might turn her into something she doesn’t want to be, just like what happened in the movie. Granted, those words did save lives, even if they were not always appreciated.
Seriously, I hope she feels better. And thankfully, for her, it happened at the end of the press tour.
Ariana Grande wanted to keep a part of Jonathan Bailey with her forever, so she stole his thumb from Wicked: For Good.
What? Before you read any further, there will be a spoiler if you have not seen the stage version of Wicked.
Bailey is transformed into the Scarecrow, and he had to wear a burlap suit for the transformation. He kept parts of his costume, but his co-star stole another part of it.
He told Access Hollywood’s guest correspondent Emily Orozco, “I know that Ari’s got my thumb…Because I fell over in a camera test, exploring the physicality, and my thumb split…she put it in her pocket. And I didn’t realize, but she carries my thumb around.”
What does he think she does with it? It makes her victorious when she tries to hail cabs in NYC!
I wish I had known this before I saw the movie, because I would have looked out to see if his thumb was missing when you saw the Scarecrow’s hand. Oh well, I guess I will just have to see the spectacular film again!!!

Christmas is coming early on Saturday Night Live because Ariana Grande is hosting the final 2025 episode with CHER as the musical guest on December 20th. This has been the best combo since. I don’t know since! Kudos for making it happen. I just hope it doesn’t disappoint. Plus, you know they will do at least one skit together, and maybe another where Ariana does an impression of Cher. Maybe they can do a Freaky Friday thingy!
In other SNL news, Melissa McCarthy hosts as Dijon sings on December 6th. The following week, Josh O’Connor and Lily Allen do the same.
Fun fact: This is only the second time Cher has been a musical guest on SNL. The last time she belted out her songs on the variety show was 1987. And she hasn’t aged in nearly 40 years.
Oh, and not-so-fun fact for Cher: Grande wasn’t even alive in ’87; she made her debut in 1993. How Wicked is that?
For the last few years, Ariana Grande has been an ice blonde to play Glinda in Wicked. But now that the Wicked: For Good is about to premiere, she has gone back to being a brunette.
The actress shared the above and wrote, “it’s good to see me, isn’t it? ” Yes, it is.
The much lighter locks and matching eyebrows washed her out, which made her look, I hate to say it, sickly. But going back to who she is makes her look so much healthier.
