Wicked: For Good looks like epic
September 24th, 2025 under Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey. [ Comments: none ]

Wicked was a masterpiece that ended on a cliffhanger. On November 21st, we will see how the story of Glinda (Ariana Grande) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) concludes in Wicked: For Good.

Today, we got a sneak peek of their final songs and how their tale continues with a wedding, a little Wizard of Oz mixed in, and how their friendship changes for good and for bad in the final trailer.

Elphaba, now demonized as The Wicked Witch of the West, lives in exile, hidden within the Ozian forest while continuing her fight for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals and desperately trying to expose the truth she knows about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum).

Glinda, meanwhile, has become the glamorous symbol of Goodness for all of Oz, living at the palace in Emerald City and reveling in the perks of fame and popularity. Under the instruction of Madame Morrible (Oscar® winner Michelle Yeoh), Glinda is deployed to serve as an effervescent comfort to Oz, reassuring the masses that all is well under the rule of The Wizard.

As Glinda’s stardom expands and she prepares to marry Prince Fiyero (Olivier award winner and Emmy and SAG nominee Jonathan Bailey) in a spectacular Ozian wedding, she is haunted by her separation from Elphaba. She attempts to broker a conciliation between Elphaba and The Wizard, but those efforts will fail, driving Elphaba and Glinda only further apart. The aftershocks will transform Boq (Tony nominee Ethan Slater) and Fiyero forever, and threaten the safety of Elphaba’s sister, Nessarose (Marissa Bode), when a girl from Kansas comes crashing into all their lives.

As an angry mob rises against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time. With their singular friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to truly see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good.

I thought the first movie was an epic, but I was wrong. The sequel looks even bigger. Who knew that was possible? John M. Chu, the visionary behind the musical!

Normally, I don’t want the Halloween season to end, but this year I do because I can’t wait to see a movie that is already a classic for generations to come.

September 3rd, 2025 under Ariana Grande, Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: none ]

Before Ariana Grande was filling arenas all over the world, she made her public singing debut at a Florida Panthers game. Even when she was just 8 years old in 2001, you can tell she was going to be a star. So much so that next year she will be playing two dates, June 30th and July 2nd, at the same Miami arena.

Ariana Grande has come a long way since she played Cat Valentine on Victorious and Sam & Kate. She landed the role of Glinda in Wicked and received an Oscar nomination for her performance.

Because of that, she is in high demand, and Ben Stiller got her for Meet the Fockers 4.

Today, Stiller announced that the sequel will be called Focker-In-Law and who will be in the cast.

Robert De Niro, Stiller, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo were all on one page, while Grande got a page all to herself! Just like Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand, a star has been born!

I can’t wait to see what is next for her. But before then, she has Wicked: For Good this November, Fockers next Thanksgiving, and Dr. Seuss’ beloved Oh, the Places You’ll Go in 2028. Oh, she also promised some music next year.

Ariana Grande plans on singing for us next year
July 16th, 2025 under Ariana Grande. [ Comments: none ]

We got to know Ariana Grande as an actress on Victorious, but we also got to hear her sing on the show. And off of the show.

In fact, her singing career turned the TV star into a global music sensation. But then she was cast in Wicked. Since then, we have not heard any new music from her that was not associated with movie musicals.

Today, she gave her fans an update on when we can expect to hear her sing again. She wrote: “very silly of you all to assume that just because i have my hands full with many things that i plan to abandon singing & music … !!!

“it is and has always been my lifeline. there will need to be room made for all of it. ‍♂️

“it may not look exactly like it did before but i much prefer how it looks in my head. i am having fun. i feel grateful and excited and inspired. 🙂 finding a balance, between many projects and endeavors i love, and doing it my own way… so i’m working on a plan to sing for you all next year. even if it’s just for a little.”

Grande has signed on for at least two new movies, Meet the Parents 4 and Dr. Seuss’ Oh, The Places You’ll Go. She really has her hands full, and it is so deserved that she is being recognized for her talent as both an actress and singer.

Why does Ariana Grande’s Barbie look like Sarah Jessica Parker
July 16th, 2025 under Ariana Grande, Barbie, Cynthia Erivo. [ Comments: none ]

Ariana Grande is very good at impressions with her voice. However, she is not as good at imitating their looks. But for some reason, Mattel made her Wicked: For Good Glenda doll look more like Sarah Jessica Parker than the Wicked star.

Seriously, Grande’s doll looks more like she is about to walk the streets of Manhattan than the Yellow Brick Road. Tell me I am not the only one who is seeing that.

The new Glenda and Elphaba Barbies are not only new additions to Mattel’s Wicked toys. Dorothy Gale also got one. The three ladies of Oz also got Small Doll Playsets with their friends, like Toto, the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, Nessarose, Fiyero,  Boq, and the Wizard of Oz.

There is something for kids of all sizes to play with, so order them now. This way, when the sequel comes out on November 21st, you can go home after seeing the musical and recreate the movie at home until it comes out on home video.
