When NBC hired Snoop Dogg to be a coach on The Voice, they got so much more from the Rapper.
They got a correspondent for the Olympics to cover the HIGHlights. Not only that, he filmed himself going swimming with 23-Gold Medal winner Michael Phelps. He thought it would be easy. But by the end of their time together, Snoop was pooped.
So, now he will leave the sports to the Olympians, and hopefully, they will do the same with singing, at least until after the Olympics.
It is that time of year when The Voice coaches sing a group song to promote the upcoming season. This year, we got to hear three of the top singers in their genre and Gwen Stefani sing the Four Tops’ Reach Out I’ll Be There.
Now that I have heard Snoop Dogg do Motown, I want to hear him do more songs like that. I knew that Michael Bublé and Reba McEntire could do it because they can sing anything. But Snoop blew me away.
Hopefully, this season will be as good as their group number. The Voice will be back on NBC on September 23rd.
I have to admit I haven’t watched The Voice in a long time because the coaches didn’t interest me much. But I will be tuning in September because Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé will be sitting in the red swivel chairs.
The Rapper and the Crooner are joining Reba McEntire and Gwen Stafani.
They almost have a perfect panel, but the No Doubt singer is a dud. I don’t know why they keep bringing her back. Does Blake Shelton have photos on the show’s producers?
Forgetting about Mrs. Shelton, I am looking forward to the banter between the other three. I can’t wait to see Snoop get Reba high! She is going to need it because she will have two shows on NBC next season, this one and the sitcom Happy’s Place.
When you think of the biggest pot smokers in entertainment, you think of Willie Nelson, Seth Rogen, and Snoop Dogg. However, one of them announced today that he is giving it up.
“After much consideration & conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke,” Snoop wrote. “Please respect my privacy at this time.”
Is he really quitting marijuana? I am not sure. It feels like a stunt to me. Like maybe it is for a reality show or marketing a new product. Although, he could be doing a Willie Nelson and switching to edibles.
While the news cycle has been almost all about the former president getting indicted again, there has been another story that has got people talking. It is about a bear at a Chinese zoo that looks human.
So yesterday, when Snoop Dogg was on Today with Hoda and Jenna, they asked him about the Sun Bear. He told them, “What I don’t understand is the bear don’t have a butt. So it makes me feel that this may be human.”
Are stumped by the bear’s lack of an ass too?
And one person Snoop would never be an ass to is Sade. When Hoda Kotb and Jenn Bush asked him he would love to do a duet with, he said Sade. Then he revealed that when he saw her in concert, he was too nervous to take a photo with her.
Even though everyone wants to take a picture with him. His nerves got the better of him because he still feels like a kid around the Smooth Operator singer.
Hopefully, she will do a collaboration with him, and he will get to live his PG-13 dream about her. Because nothing should come between him and his wife of 26 years.
