Before Barbara Eden had a job that only a Jeannie could make happen, she had another one that every girl in Hollywood wished they could have. How stunning was the 25-year-old in that 1957 episode of I Love Lucy?
Yesterday, when Eden was on Live with Kelly and Ryan, she told them how Lucille Ball was really nice to the green actress. In fact, she reveals that the legend wanted to give her contract, but Fox offered her one before the redhead had a chance. I wonder who would have played Jeannie had Eden turned down Fox?
Hallmark Channel is gearing up for wonderful Christmas season full of magical movies. One of them stars Denise Richards, Patrick Muldoon, Jamie Luner and the never aging Barbara Eden. I don’t care what this still untitled movie is about, I declare now that it is a going to be a holiday classic for years to come. Who is not going to want to watch the four of them in one film?
When you were growing up, did you dream of hanging with Jeanie in her bottle? Did you want to work at a radio station like WKRP, just so you could know someone like Jennifer? Did you wish your mother was as rockin’ as Shirley Partridge? We all did! Let’s be real.
Here are the three sitcom Goddesses hanging out recently and Loni Anderson, Barbara Eden and Shirley Jones all look phenomenal. They could easily do a sitcom together and it would be a huge hit. Who wouldn’t want to see these funny beauties back on our TVs every week? Especially because they have not aged a day since their shows ended. Which technically they haven’t because they still all air in syndication.
Seriously, don’t they all look sweller than swell and hotter than Hell!
Today is Barbara Eden‘s 85th birthday, but you would never know it looking at her. She looks like someone half her age.
Seriously, she looks so fabulous, I want know what was in that Jeannie bottle she used to live in back in the ’60s. Especially since she hasn’t aged a day since I Dream of Jeannie. I dream of knowing that secret.
Happy Birthday Mrs Eden. Keep ageing backwards.
Ever since the late 60’s we have been enjoying two shows, one about a Jeannie and another one about a Witch, and yet the two have never met. That was until last weekend when I Dream of Jeannie’s Jeannie and Bewitched’s Tabitha met up at the Hollywood Show in Chicago.
How awesome is it see Barbara Eden with Erin Murphy, maybe TV Land can give them a sitcom together?
BTW I don’t know what magic the two women learned on the set of their sitcoms, but whatever it was has kept them looking much younger than they really are. Seriously can you believe that Eden is 82 years young and Murphy is 49 because neither one of them looks it.
