BTWF: Liev Schreiber in Janek: The Silent Betrayal

Before Liev Schreiber was running from the police in Ray Donovan, he was one of them in Janek: The Silent Betrayal. He looks the same now as he did when he was 26 in that 1994 telemovie.

Meeting Salma Hayek left Eminem all wet
February 12th, 2020 under Eminem, Salma Hayek, Strange Encounters. [ Comments: none ]

We saw what went on during the Oscars telecast, but we don’t know what happened backstage. Today, Salma Hayek shared her embarrassing about when she met Eminem.

In these pictures it might look like @Eminem and I are best friends, but what really happened is as he was walking offstage and I was getting ready to walk onstage, I was so shocked to see him that I spilled water all over him. If you examine our faces, I look mortified and he looks terrified of me- As I was trying to wipe it off I impulsively hugged him and I said “Nice to meet you Eminem- I’m a HUGE fan!” because I AM! But I was so disappointed that I made such a fool of myself in front of him

How did he feel about their encounter? When Variety asked him if he enjoyed that night, he said, “Absolutely. I got to hug Salma Hayek!”

Too bad, she is married. If not, they would be Hollywood’s hottest couple right now. You could say they would lose themselves in each other.

Joe Jonas knows what a man gotta do to get a woman pregnant
February 12th, 2020 under Jonas Brothers. [ Comments: none ]

On May 1, 2019, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner had a surprise wedding in Las Vegas. They followed that wedding up with another one in Paris on June 29th. Now, they are following up both weddings up with a baby. Just Jared confirmed the news, but do not know how far along the 23-year-old actress.

Personally, I am surprised that Joe beat Nick to the baby wagon. I thought that Priyanka Chopra would have already had one by now.

Rick Moranis comes out of retirement
February 12th, 2020 under Josh Gad, Rick Moranis. [ Comments: 1 ]

Back in 1997, Rick Moranis retired from acting to raise his two children, even though he was in some of my favorite movies. You know because it is all about me.

Anyways, Deadline revealed today that he is taking on his first scripted on-camera role since then. He will be reprising his role as Wayne Szalinski in the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids sequel Shrunk. The last movie he did was Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves.

The Disney movie will be centered around Josh Gad, who is playing his shrunken son all grown up. No word how they will handle the loss of Marcia Strassman, who played the mom in the first two movies, but not the third. The actress passed away in 2014.

Moranis has done some voiceover work and guest appearances, like on The Goldbergs, since he stayed away from the limelight. Maybe now that he is going to get the yummy taste of acting again, he will finally consider doing Space Balls 3: The Search for 2.

UPDATE: SlashFilm says that is mostly like the plit for Shrunk, “Aware that the family ties have loosened over time but seemingly afraid to confront anyone directly. He has been tinkering alone in his attic for decades, dealing with the grief of losing his wife. When we first meet him, he has accidentally shrunk himself and is flying around on a shrunken drone — seemingly lost in a continuous of tinkering and experimenting that often puts himself and his family in jeopardy. He later reveals he shut himself away to try and invent a solution to help shrink Diane’s cancer but found it hard to cope when he ran out of time. His guilt and shame is palpable. Through the crisis of the kids getting shrunk, the truth emerges and the bonds begin to redevelop between him and his kids.”

How screwed up is that they are doing that storyline when both his real and movie wives died from cancer? That and its sounds like an upbeat movie will be depressing. I am not even sure if Moranis is enough for me to go see it now.

BSB should go by BarberShop Boys from now on
February 12th, 2020 under Backstreet Boys /Aaron Carter, Jimmy Fallon. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday, on The Tonight Show, the Backstreet Boys sang Sisqo’s The Thong Song in the style of a barbershop quarter with Jimmy Fallon.

I love it whenever the NBC late night show brings on the Ragtime Gals. However, I think this is their best number yet. BSB was born to do this style of music. They should switch from Pop to this. They could make this genre hip again and not just for the people with hip replacements.

Seriously, I, as a woman, can even admit that this version made me smile. And women do not smile for a tune as sexist as this one. You know where Sisgo can stick that thong…
