DJ Qualls comes out as gay
January 13th, 2020 under Admirable People. [ Comments: none ]

DJ Qualls has played the stud in several movies, and now the actor has a confession to make. He told his followers on Friday, “It is 11:20pm. I just came out on stage at a @jimjefferie show in San Diego. Yep, I’m gay. Been gay this whole time. Tired of worrying about what people would think of me. Tired of worrying about what it would do to my career.”

He can still play the man who gets all the girls or boys. Who cares anymore? As long as he is happy, what else matters?

If some production does not want you because you are gay, then you did not want them in the first place.

A classic sitcom fan’s wet dream!
January 13th, 2020 under 60s, 70s, 80s, Lydia Cornell, Wet dream. [ Comments: none ]

If you are a fan of classic sitcoms, then you recognize all of these faces. In the late ’60s, we got to know Erin Murphy as Tabitha Stephens on Bewitched. Then in the mid-’70s, we were all saying, “Whatcha talking about Willis,” to Todd Bridges on Diff’rent Strokes. Finally, in 1980, Lydia Cornell was making TV sexier on Too Close for Comfort. Even though their shows have been in syndication forever, they never did one together.

So what brought the three of them together now? They were all celebrating Keith Coogan’s 50th birthday. Doesn’t it feel like all of this would be a perfect start for a new sitcom? It could be about child stars trying to get a second chance in Hollywood.

CBS All Access is bringing back our childhood for the children!
January 13th, 2020 under Sir Patrick Stewart/Sir Ian McKellen. [ Comments: none ]

CBS All Access teamed up with Dreamworks Animation to reboot some of our favorite shows from our childhoods. Beginning on January 17th, they will be streaming all new versions of Mr. Magoo, Lassie, and George of the Jungle. They join the updated versions of Danger Mouse and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

I might be too old to watch all of this, but why should I stop being a kid?

For adulting, I will be watching Star Trek: Picard that was picked up for a second season before season one even debuts on January 23rd. I also can check out season two of The Twilight Zone with special guest stars Morena Baccarin, Colman Domingo, Ethan Embry, Jenna Elfman, Tavi Gevinson, Tony Hale, Abbie Hern, Gillian Jacobs, Sophia Macy, Joel McHale, Chris Meloni, Billy Porter, Jimmi Simpson, and Daniel Sunjata.
