BTWF: Mario Lopez on Kids Inc
June 27th, 2019 under Before They Were Famous, Mario Lopez, Saved by the Bell/City Guys. [ Comments: none ]

Before Mario Lopez was wowing us with his dance moves on Dancing with the Stars, he was doing the same thing on Kids Incorporated. How cute was the preteen in the mid-’80s?

Pop the bubbly because Pop TV saved One Day at a Time
June 27th, 2019 under Pop TV. [ Comments: none ]

Three months ago, Netflix cancelled One Day at a Time, and fans of the show were heartbroken. They took to Twitter and were begging anyone to save their beloved sitcom. Today, they finally got some really good news. Pop TV picked it up for a 13-episode 4th season to air sometime next year.

This is a television first. How? ODAAT is the first show that was cancelled by a streaming service to be picked up by a cable channel. Normally, it is Netflix who does the saving.

Not only that, CBS, who owns Pop TV and was the network that aired the original One Day at a Time, will air the 4th season after the cable network is done airing all of that season’s episodes.

This is not a happy ending, instead, it is a happy beginning. I cannot wait see what is next for our favorite Cuban family who lives in Los Angeles.

The cast of Stranger Things scare people
June 27th, 2019 under Jimmy Fallon, Madame Tussauds, Netflix. [ Comments: none ]

Jimmy Fallon invited the cast of Stranger Things to go to Madame Tussauds in NYC. Not to look at the wax figures of other famous people. Instead, he wanted them to pretend to be wax versions of their characters and scare unsuspecting fans. Oh, and since The Tonight Show host cannot be left out, he filled in for Barb. Poor Barb.

Also, poor tourists who got the shock of their lives when the Netflix kids came to life. None of them suspected that the actors were actually living and not the life-size candle versions of themselves. Funny how scared they got.

You know I just realized I never watched the second season of this show. I better watch it now because season three is coming up on July 4th

Diane Franklin shares a photo from Bill & Ted’s alternate ending
June 27th, 2019 under Diane Franklin, Keanu Reeves. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1989 when Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure ended, Rufus (the late George Carlin) brought the medieval Princesses forward in time to be with the leads (and do 69, what?). However, that was not the original ending.

Last year, when Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter and writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon talked about the legendary film (and my personal favorite) to Entertainment Weekly, they let us know that was not how the film really ended.

Bill S. Preston, Esquire revealed the true ending was, “We just bring the historical figures back to our classroom. And Keanu just sat on the desk, and watched them kind of talk about who they were. Then we’d go to the prom, and that’s the end. Even while we were shooting it, we were kind of depressed.” Therefore, after much thought, they reshot it and it ended the way we know it as.

I do not remember seeing any video or pictures from that original ending. However, that all changed today because Bodacious Babe Diane Franklin aka Princess Joanna shared a photo of them going to the prom. I love that the Wyld Stallyns wore tuxes with long shorts, tube socks and sneakers. It is very Bill & Ted. Kind of wish we got to see them five of them like that 30 years ago. Anyone else feeling old because this movie is that old?

Still no word if Franklin and Kimberley Kates will reprise their roles Bill & Ted Face the Music. It will be totally bogus if they are not especially because they still look just as beautiful. I mean how can you have their daughters without their moms?

Although, I still don’t believe the third movie is happening. Until someone posts a photo from the first day of filming, I will remain cautiously optimistic. Then after they post it, I am so going to stalk production.

UPDATE: Even though the movie is bringing back so many other actors from the original movies, they have decided to recast the Princess. I call BS on that. That was a wrong decision.

Jeff Dye shows us we have been using the toilet the wrong way
June 27th, 2019 under Jeff Dye. [ Comments: none ]

Ever since the toilet was created, we have all sat on it with our backs against the water bowl. Jeff Dye realized that we have been doing it all wrong. We should make like his friend The Fonz and “sit on it” with our chests facing it, so this way we can use the tank to rest things on like reading material, our heads or the kids and animals that ruin our alone time.

Who knew this before now? Mind blown! Just like the title of the show he was on, “Better Late Than Never” to find this out. Now I am off to test it out, what could go wrong?

Leave it to a comedian to come up with some new toiler humor!
