BTWF: Bethenny Frankel on Saved By the Bell

Before Bethenny Frankel was the star of her own shows, she was PA on Saved By the Bell. She looks the same now as she did when she was 20 working on those 1990 episodes.

Are Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Mario Lopez down for Saved By the Bell again?
March 26th, 2019 under Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Saved by the Bell/City Guys. [ Comments: none ]

It seems like every show with kids from the ’90s is coming back as a reboot, so what about Saved By the Bell. Yesterday, when Mark-Paul Gosselaar was on Extra, a fan wanted to know if he and Mario Lopez are up for reviving their show.

Slater did not want to put it on his slate because it is a little hard to do since they are not in high school anymore. Then he thought that maybe it could be about their kids going to Bayside.

MPG had a different approach, “I’ve always answered it, also, I think we’re open to the idea.” That is when Lopez agreed. Someone get Peter Engel on the phone with NBC and let’s make this happen ASAP. We need their cheesiness back in our lives.

Are you excited to know that Elizabeth Berkley and Mark-Paul Gosselaar dated?
January 23rd, 2019 under Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Saved by the Bell/City Guys. [ Comments: none ]

Back on Saved By the Bell, it was all about Zack and Kelly. In real life, it was all about Elizabeth Berkley and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. The actor told Anna Faris on her podcast Unqualified (via People) that the two of them dated.

He explained, “When you’re working on a set, and we were young, there’s no one around really. I mean, you work and live in a bubble.” Because of that, he admitted, “All of us dated at one point or another — it was incestuous!”

It was not all lovey-dovey because he added, “Sometimes the girls would gang up on the guys. [Tiffani Thiessen] and Elizabeth would hate me, and then they’d hate [Lark Voorhies] because Lark was talking to me, and [Mario Lopez] was supposed to side with someone. All that stuff you did in high school, like, ‘How could you talk to him?’”

Not only were they playing high school students, but they were also living life like they were really high school students. Which is why we believed they were actually in high school because they were.

Mario Lopez was Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s last roll before surgery
January 22nd, 2019 under Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Saved by the Bell/City Guys. [ Comments: none ]

Mark-Paul Gosselaar is going under the knife today for shoulder surgery, and he went for a roll with a Mario Lopez beforehand. Not in the hay, but on a mat. The two Saved By the Bell actors took Jiu-Jitsu and spent an hour and a half rolling around the floor. When they were done, all I could think of is sweating to the oldies when I saw this photo! They don't look their age, but I am sure they are feeling it today.

In all seriousness, it is nice to see that they are still friends after thirty years. Can you believe it has been that long? Now you are feeling old too, right?

Finally, good luck to MPG today with the surgery!

Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Mario Lopez did the #30YearChallenge
January 16th, 2019 under Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Saved by the Bell/City Guys. [ Comments: none ]

In 1989, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Mario Lopez starred in a little show called Saved By the Bell. Now 30, years later Zack has a new show called The Passage and he is promoting it tonight on Extra TV which is hosted by Slater. Bringing the TV BFFs together again.

While everyone is being all brave and doing the #10YearChallenge, these two Bayside High graduates are doing one that is three times that. What is scary is Lopez actually looks younger now than he did then. MPG only looks older because of the darker and beard. What do you think?
