Days after Neil Patrick Harris hinted he would never host the Oscars again, Craig Zadan, a Producer of Hollywood’s biggest night, hints that it is three and out for Neil Meron and him.
I am OK with this! I like Zadan and Meron’s work in movies (Sing, Hairspray, Footloose) and on television (Smash, HappyLand), but I’m not a fan of their Oscar work. Their hosts were not the best and several of their bits went on way too long and didn’t work. Plus, now that they won’t be preoccupied by the Oscars, hopefully they will spending more time focusing on the live version of The Wiz for NBC (hint hint, skip The Music Man again).
When it comes to who I think should produce the Academy Awards, I think AMPAS should offer it to Tangled and Galavant’s Alan Menken and Dan Fogelman. Who do you want to get the job?
Last week we fell in love with The Last Man on Earth and tonight at 9:30p on Fox we find if Phil Miller (Will Forte) will marry the last woman on Earth.
I am sure you are wondering why would he marry Carol (Kristen Schaal) because she is so not his type and extremely annoying? Well, the only way she will procreate with him is if they are man and wife. But is continuing on the human race really that important? That is what he will have to decide as he works on his only duty for the wedding, getting the rings. Will he remember to do it after the wild and crazy Bachelor party throws for himself and his balls. His sports balls, you pervs!
Seriously, if you missed last week’s season premiere catch up on it on Fox OnDemand or the FoxNow App, I promise you will love this show like it is the last comedy on Earth! Actually, you will fall in love with it because their is an innocence and freshness to the humor that just makes you smile.
I just want to add that last week, I couldn’t mention Schaal in my review because Fox wanted to keep her part a surprise. Today, I can talk about her and she is absolutely amazing in the role. Even though you can’t stand her character, you still can’t help but to love her. Seriously, if I were Phil and she was the last woman on Earth, I’d move and hope that there was another one. Are you Team Phil or Team Carol?
Lindsay Lohan tried to do a Kim Kardashian by breaking the internet. Unlike Mrs Kanye West, she did it with her clothes on. In fact, Lohan showed a lot of skin, but her outfit is SFW. Not only that, her outfit is a lot classier than the black dress Kardashian ripped off herself to reveal her greasy body.
I never thought I would be saying Lindsay is classier than someone else, but in this case I am.
Shortly after CBS released the first photos of Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, Axel Braun released the first image of his Supergirl in Batman v Superman XXX: An Axel Braun Parody. Which one do you do you want to watch more?
Personally, I like Braun’s version better because his costume has lighter colors. I don’t like the darker ones, but that is me. That and the XXX one is so much more sexier, it will definitely makes boys flies fly!
You know the expression, In An Instant your life can change? Well that is the premise for ABC’s new 2 hour specials. Tonight, tomorrow and next Saturday at 9p, the docuseries will tell the stories of people who survived situations that they shouldn’t have.
On tonight’s season premiere an Alaskan family of 4 is flying home in a small plane when a sudden weather system leaves their pilot blind during the white out. When their visibility is regained, they see a huge mountain in front of them. The pilot does all he can, but the plane crashes killing the pilot and his personal passenger. The family of four survives, but they are all badly injured. Not only are they injured, the kids were thrown from the plane and their dad with 2 broken legs and a broken back has to try to find them. To make matters worse, the mother is pregnant with their third child and she’s convinced she lost the baby.
How will they be found in this remote area with weather conditions that are not favorable for a search and rescue? How will they be able to get through the waiting period to be rescued as all of them are in severe pain with no food and not being appropriately dressed for the plunging temperatures? You will just have to tune in to find out as they tell story with reenactments.
Coming up tomorrow we hear from several of the survivors of the 2007 Minneapolis Bridge Collapse and next week a father and daughter tell their take of surviving a grizzly bear attack. If they are as good as the first one, then you will be captivated from the beginning until the end.
