Morris Day, Young MC, and C+C Music Factory drop out of Freedom 250
May 27th, 2026 under Bret Michaels, Donald Trump, Vanessa Minnillo/Nick Lachey. [ Comments: none ]

Today, something called Freedom 205 announced a concert series at the National Mall in DC around July 4th to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.

They took Prince’s words to heart, as in they booked artists that would have been cool to party with in 1999.

Who are these acts? They are: Martina McBride, Young MC, C+C Music Factory, Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli, The Commodores, Morris Day & The Time, Flo Rida, and Bret Michaels.

Well, I guess they didn’t clear it with everyone because Morris Day took to social media and wrote, “Contrary To Rumor, Morris Day & The Time Will Not Be Perfoming At The ‘GREAT AMERICAN STATE FAIR.'”

And he is not the only one. Young MC wrote, “I HAVE INFORMED MY AGENTS THAT I WILL NOT BE PERFORMING AT THE FREEDOM 250 EVENT.

“The artists were never told about any political involvement with the event. And despite the claims by the organizers that the event is non- partisan, SPIN magazine describes it as Trump-backed”. I hope to perform in D.C. in the near future at an event that is not so politically.”

Finally, Freedom Williams from C+C Music Factory clarified things in his recorded message. He said that his agent called him three months ago and asked if he wanted to play DC. However, he never explained what it was for. As soon as he realized that it was associated with donald trump, he didn’t break a sweat and pulled out from performing.

As of Wednesday night, none of the other musicians listed have posted anything about performing at the Great American State Fair. Therefore, I think that a few more will drop out.

However, I am sure that Rob Pilatus of Milli Vanilli will still go live. Too soon?

Seriously, am I the only one who didn’t know that some of these acts were still together and touring? I really thought a few of them didn’t make it past the millennium, like C+C.

On that note, some of these names are so on par for this administration because of their scandals. Milli Vanilli and C+C Music Factory used “prettier faces” to be the faces for the real people singing their songs. Vanilla Ice was sued for sampling Queen and David Bowie’s Pressure in Ice, Ice Baby. And Bret Michaels thinking he is better than his Poison bandmates.

Gotta love Meidas Trump, turning everything into shit with his touch.

UPDATE: Vanilla Ice confirmed he will be performing, “This is going to be epic. America 250 put your dancing shoes on everyone is a teenager for the night.”

So yesterday, I was going to write that I had a theory that Vanilla Ice was behind the lineup because he is friends with trump and told him to book. And this makes me think I was correct.

Lance Bass gets fellow Boy Banders to tell a Dad Joke
August 29th, 2023 under AJ McLean, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, Vanessa Minnillo/Nick Lachey. [ Comments: none ]

If you are on TikTok, then you have seen Lance Bass tell his husband bad jokes. Well, now he is expanding with his boys, AJ McLean, Nick Lachey, and Joey Fatone.

Bass found a video of a man about to do a serve in volleyball, and he calls out, “Backstreet Boys. 98 Degrees. *NSYNC. One Direction.”

Then, the video cuts to the four of them getting hit by the ball. McLean asks, “What was that?” And Fatone tells him, “That was One Direction.”

I miss the days when they were cool Rockers and not cheesy dads. I think.

98 Degrees recreates an old photo
April 28th, 2021 under 90s, Vanessa Minnillo/Nick Lachey. [ Comments: none ]

Jeff Timmons, Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, and Justin Jeffre recently got together and recreated a photo from their past. Even though 98 Drgrees is going to celebrate their 25th anniversary next year, they still look great.

Although, I am sure that Drew and Timmons are regretting those muscle tees now. Thankfully, they still have the arms for it. If they didn’t, I bet they would not have recreated this photo.
