Let’s be honest with one another. Day Drinking with Seth Meyers is the best ongoing bit in late night. The Late Night host has gotten shitfaced with Rihanna, Lorde, Will Forte, and Post Malone.
Tonight at 12:35a on NBC, he is going to get so drunk with Lizzo, and it is about damn time he asked her.
The singer shared a video that showed how they looked when they took their first shot and then their 20th. As we can see, they had a really good time. However, we won’t know how good of a time until we watch it tonight. I think we can all agree it is going to be good as hell.
Seth Meyers is no stranger to having his family on NBC’s Late Night. He has had his parents and brother on the late night show a few times.
Yesterday, as a favor to his Aunt Edith, he had his cousin Michael Myers on to “talk” about his new movie Halloween Ends. How did it go? It was a killer interview, as in Myers with one E, killed the guest who was coming out after him, two sexy teens in the audience, and everyone in the control room.
I guess that is bad for Meyers with two E’s. But it was great for us because this bit was just silly fun, and late night needs more of that.
Although, there were two problems with it. First, how did Myers lose the axe and get his knife back to murder everyone in the control room when it was on the other side of the stage? And second, how could Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson be back after the break if Myers killed them?
I hate to be one of those people, but they were glaring errors which made the sketch even funnier to me.
Seth Meyers was supposed to do a week of shows. However, things changed for the Late Night host.
“After negative tests Monday and Tuesday I tested positive for COVID this morning,” Meyers wrote. “Canceling shows the rest of this week. Apologies to our scheduled guests and loyal viewers!”
This is the second time that he has gotten coronavirus. He previously tested positive in January.
Hopefully, he will be better soon and able to day drink with some more celebrities.
It has been a while since Seth Meyers went day drinking, and he finally did it again. This time he went with Post Malone.
The day started off OK with the two men getting to know each other. Then, the Late Night host started to make drinks based on the singer’s tattoos. That didn’t go as well as expected because his writers screwed up in several ways. The biggest was the ingredients that the drinks were made of. One was so bad that they were thoroughly grossed out. Thankfully, the next cocktail was hot, as in full of a lot of hot peppers.
Now, it was time for Malone to make Meyers hot, so he gave him three tats on his face. That ink caused the two men to fight over who is faster, Superman or The Flash. Malone thinks it is Clark Kent and Meyers thinks it is Barry Allen. Watching two intoxicated men have this very important debate made me spit out my drink.
And with no clear winner, it was time for them to have a final call. What better way to end the day than to sing the theme to Cheers, a show Malone had never watched.
While he never watched the sitcom, I bet you will be watching this at least one more time.
Jordan Klepper has covered Trump Rallys, CPAC, anti-vax protests, and so on. The Daily Show reporter goes there to interview Conservatives to find out their thoughts on the day of issues. What he hears from them is beyond shocking. Yet, he always seems prepared for their answers, no matter how out there they are.
Yesterday when he was on Late Night, he told Seth Meyers that he and his producers can never prepare enough. That is because they will say things that none of his research has covered. That is when his improv training comes in to help him through those interviews.
Does he understand why they show up for these events? Klepper said they are looking for a community, and they find one there. Aren’t we all looking for one?
And are they looking out for him? Klepper said that they were seeking him out for Selfies at CPAC. He is now one of them. So, they will still be doing interviews with him when he shows up. However, now they know why he is there, and they don’t care.
However, we care what he finds out because you never ever know what they are going to say.
