Kanye West disinvited from the Grammys after what he said about host Trevor Noah
March 19th, 2022 under Kanye West, Trevor Noah. [ Comments: none ]

It has been an interesting week for Trevor Noah and Kanye West, and it isn’t ending the way they thought.

On Tuesday night, Trevor Noah made an impassioned plea that we should be more supportive of abused women like Kim Kardashian. If someone like Kim cannot protect herself from her estranged husband, Kanye West, how can the average woman do it?

Well, when Kanye heard about what Noah said, he used racial slurs against the host of The Daily Show on Instagram. There were so many complaints about it on Instagram that Meta suspended West for 24 hours over it and his other posts.

That seemed like it would have been the end of it, but it was not. Late yesterday, The Grammys told Kanye he is no longer welcomed. According to The Blast, insiders of the music awards show said they did it because of “concerning online behavior.”

However, they didn’t add that “concerning online behavior” was towards the show’s host, Noah. So, almost everyone can understand their decision. I would do the same.

Trevor Noah learned the hard way NYC is not Italy!

We have all seen those videos of neighbors putting on impromptu concerts from their balconies to make the quarantine seem less lonely. Trevor Noah decided to try to do a sing-along in Manhattan.

How did it go? Someone told him to STFU! Cause that is how we roll in NY. If you want a chorus in NYC, you just have to let everyone say the F-word to each other! We come together with that word.

Talking about words, I wish someone would recreate the infamous scene from Network. I think we all need to scream, “I’m mad as hell, and I am not going to take this anymore,” out of our windows. Doesn’t it feel good?

When it comes to good, who knew Noah has such a sweet sining voice!

BTWF: Bernie Sanders on Bernie Speaks with the Community
May 9th, 2019 under Before They Were Famous, Comedy Central, Politics, Trevor Noah. [ Comments: none ]

Before Bernie Sanders was running for President of the United States, he was the mayor of Burlington, Vermont hosting a public access show called Bernie Speaks with the Community. As Trevor Noah said, he looks the same now as he did when he was 46 in those 1987 episodes.

Now, let’s talk about how Trevor Noah reviewed these episodes on The Daily Show yesterday. I have not laughed that hard in a really long time. However, I do not know if I was laughing with Noah, at Bernie or with both. All I know is it what I needed!!!

Trevor Noah had an emergency appendectomy
November 4th, 2015 under Comedy Central, Trevor Noah. [ Comments: none ]

Trevor Noah will not be hosting tonight’s The Daily Show because he had an emergency appendectomy this morning. Comedy Central will air a repeat tonight instead.
Even though he had the surgery just hours ago, the network says he is expected to be back at the anchor’s desk tomorrow night at 11p. Dang, that seems fast. Although, I remember when Jimmy Kimmel missed a show for the same reason a few years ago, he was at The Police concert just days afterwards. I guess you heal quicker after that surgery than a nose job, which seems odd.

Trevor Noah is the new host of The Daily Show
March 30th, 2015 under Comedy Central, Trevor Noah. [ Comments: none ]

Comedy Central has yet to make it official, but The New York Times is reporting that Trevor Noah will replace Jon Stewart as the host of The Daily Show later this year.
Are you going, “Who is he?” The South African comedian made his debut on the show back in December. Since then he has made only 2 more appearances. You might say, that Comedy Central is taking a huge risk by hiring an unknown to take the job. Actually, you can totally say it. You know, it is going to piss off the veterans who have worked on the show for years. I am sure even Larry Wilmore is going, WTF? He gets the second hour and this newbie gets the prime show. Can’t blame him if he was pissed about it.
While his newness can be an issue for fans, I think the bigger problem is going to come as soon as he starts. A big emphasis of The Daily Show is American Politics. That means he is going to have to start learning everything he can in the next few months or he will be screwed when he starts because, at that time, we are a year away from picking a new President of the United States. I’ve lived here my whole life, and I still have no clue what goes on during the election. So he has work cut out for him.
And so does Comedy Central. Hopefully they will do a better job than CBS did with James Corden when it comes to getting the word out about the virtually unknown host.
What do you think of the pick?

UPDATE: Comedy Central just made it official.
