It has been nine years since Susan Lucci said goodbye to her iconic All My Children character, but yesterday she transformed into Erica Kane for Jimmy Fallon’s The Longest Days of our Lives.
What is that? It is a weekly soap opera that airs on The Tonight Show, and it stars Fallon, Will Ferrell, and Kristen Wiig. Yesterday, they had some special guest stars like Lucci. She was not the only soap star because it also included Days’ Mary Beth Evans, General Hospital’s Maurice Bernard, and Dynasty’s Heather Locklear. There was some guy named Jake Gyllenhaal that was also part of it.
Anyways they all did it to help raise money for the Actor’s Fund that supports actors and crew members who are out of work due to COVID-19.
Sometimes when a celebrity is on late night talk show, the host asks them to play a game. Yesterday, when Will Ferrell was on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon asked him to play the Whisper Game. It is quite simple. One person wears headphones playing music and has to guess what the other person is saying.
Well, the Elf was not having it. Instead of saying “Baby Yoda”, he went off on a rant. One that there was no way that the NBC host could have guessed. Which made it the funniest thing I have ever seen Ferrell do.
Will Ferrell was on The Late Late Show yesterday and I guess he was hungry. That is because James Corden invited to him play Spill Your Guts, Eat Your Guts.
It is a simple game, answer the question or eat something disgusting like a fish eye, cow tongue (which I like) or ant yogurt. The worst item was the big turkey testicles and that was given to the CBS late night host. In order not to eat one, all he had to do was tell the Anchorman which movie of his was the one he liked least. Just when Corden was going to answer, Ferrell threatened his interviewer by saying if the host picked one, he would not come on the show again. Therefore, he now knows what it is like to tea bag. Now we know he will do anything to makes sure guests continue to do his show. How noble!
Yesterday on Jeopardy, they had a category all about movie quotes. Alex Trebek did one from Elf and attempted to do his best Will Farrell. How did go? Listen for yourself. I promise you that it is not the Laurel or Yanny audio, that I posted yesterday from him.
Back to the host, it was gallant effort, I am sure it made Ferrell happy, and it definitely made us laugh because it was so bad. He can’t be perfect at everything.
Will Ferrell was on Watch What Happens Live last week and Andy Cohen just had to know what was the real dealio for why Mariah Carey was cut out of his movie The House.
The first thing he had to know is if it is true that she showed up to set four hours late. Without hesitation, he said that was, “True!”
Then the Bravo host wanted to know if she made any script notes. Then the actor revealed that one of her script notes “was like, ‘I don’t want to do this scene.'” A scene Ferrell said she had already approved. You can see why they cut her just from that. She does not want to do the scene and they do not want to put up with bull.
On that note, the Anchorman revealed that she requested that they have stuffed lambs in her trailer in honor of her fans. Heck, if I were doing craft services that day, I would have had Gyros for lunch and lamb chops for dinner. Then I would serve it to her in her trailer and say here is your lamb, darling.
After hearing that, you cannot blame them for cutting her out of the movie. Although, after reading the reviews, she might have been the true winner in this story.
