Over the weekend, U2 was forced to a cancel a concert midway through because Bono lost his voice. Turns out he is not the only singer to be afflicted with laryngitis.
The Foo Fighters cancelled two dates because of it. In a statement from the band, they said, “After opening this leg of the tour September 1 at Safeco Field in Seattle, Dave Grohl suffered a loss of voice and is now on vocal rest. Then they added, ‘That’s the last time I ever make out with Bono,’ Grohl commented.”
I guess both singers still haven’t found what that are looking for…a voice. But at least one of them found something to laugh about in the silence.
Get well guys because I want to see that making out video!
Last week, when the Foo Fighters were playing Nashville, an 8-year-old boy said he wanted to jam with the band. Dave Grohl being the guy that he is said sure. Therefore, Little Fonzie came up on the stage, asked if he could play the drums and he got to live out a dream.
Little Fonzie did nearly a one-minute bitching drum solo and the audience could not stop applauding the little guy. The kid ate up the attention, so he kept on playing and playing.
Eventually, Grohl asked if he could have his concert back and that did not work. What to do? The rocker called on the kid’s dad to get him off of the drumset. After one more solo, Little Fonzie gave up his seat only to go over to Grohl to have a conversation with him. After some niceties, the singer figured a way to get his show back on track. He offered the future drummer some coke. As in Coca-Cola, what were you thinking?
Anyways, it worked and Little Fonzie had a night he will never forget! At least until he joins that garage band and lands the lady of his dream with drumming!
Seriously, who doesn’t love the Foo Fighters? They are what Rock’n’Roll is all about!
Jimmy Kimmel’s 6-month-old son Billy was scheduled for his second heart surgery this week, but it was postponed, as a precautionary measure, because he has a cold. Hopefully, when he undergoes the surgery, it will go smoothly and he will recover quickly.
Since Kimmel was expecting to be off this week, he has 4 people filling in for him. Shaquille O’Neal starts the week off as he interviews Mila Kunis and Aisha Tyler. Tomorrow, Dave Grohl, out of all people, talks to Kristen Bell and Alice Cooper. What no Rick Astley? Wednesday belongs to Channing Tatum who will be chatting it up with Ellen Degeneres and P!nk. Then they saved the worst for last, Kim Kardashian will be Jennifer Lawrence’s only guest. Giving us the most annoying hour of late night, since, ever.
How much do you want to bet that the Foo Fighters singer will do such a good job that someone will offer him a talk show of his own? Is there anything he cannot do?
The Foo Fighters helped James Corden get to his job at The Late Late Show yesterday, by doing Carpool Karaoke with him. They sang a bunch of their songs and the CBS host was totally rocking out with the guys. That was when Dave Grohl asked his driver if he bangs the drums. He said no, but he had a feeling he could. To see if he really could, they drove to Guitar Center and Taylor Hawkins, Grohl and Corden decided to beat it and the James realized playing the drums is not as easy as it looks.
What is easier for Corden is playing the guitar and they decided to put on a impromptu gig for the patrons. What was their song of choice? Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up! Which was a perfect way to cap off their day together!
Seriously, am I the only one who wants to be friends with Foo Fighters because they just seem like the coolest dudes!
Last month, the Foo Fighters saw Rick Astley, whom they never met before, watching them backstage at a festival in Japan, and they invited him out to sing Never Gonna Give You Up with them. Since then the music world has been buzzing about it, wondering when they are going to get together again to Rickroll us. Yesterday we got that answer, when the Dave Grohl and his band were playing in London, and then their new best friend joined them on stage to sing that song again. Delighting fans of both musicians once again.
Now, we want to know when they are going to take the Bromance from the stage to the recording studio already. They need to record this version already because it will top the charts. Then they need to go on tour together. Hell, what about a reality show? I just love how they bring out the Rocker out of Astley!
