U2 announces their final shows at the Sphere
December 4th, 2023 under U2. [ Comments: none ]

U2 are the first musicians to play the groundbreaking musical experience at the Sphere in Las Vegas. And today Bono, The Edge, and Adam Clayton announced that they are ending their residency on March 2nd.

So if you want to see them, you better get tickets now because there are only 20 more shows left.

The Sphere is a one-of-a-kind experience because they have created a visually stunning event in the round that is unlike anything anyone has ever seen. Even my blind friend said it was her favorite U2 show, and she has seen them several times.

She also told me that most of the people at the show were not fans of the band and were there for the visuals. But it is still one helluva concert.

Now that U2 is ending their run, I wonder who will be next? It has to be someone with a tremendous catalog of songs and music with visuals behind the tunes. And most importantly, they can sell out the venue.

Who do you think should be next? Tell me in the comments. I think it should be Madonna, Bon Jovi, Bruno Mars, or Rihanna. Too bad Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift are already committed for most of 2024 with their tours.

Bono and The Edge give David Letterman a tour of Ireland
February 10th, 2023 under David Letterman, U2. [ Comments: none ]

Bono and The Edge are going to show David Letterman the streets with no names in Ireland for a Disney+ special.

During the lockdown in 2020, Bono and Edge spent time revisiting many of their iconic songs and re-recorded them for today’s audience. When they emerged, Bono invited Dave to visit the pair in Dublin and attend a special show at the old Ambassador Cinema building at the top of O’Connell Street. Directed by Morgan Neville, this is a concert movie, a travel adventure, and the story of one of the most remarkable friendships in the history of rock and roll.

Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming debuts on March 17th. And it is a must-watch for all fans of music.

Who knew Tracy Morgan was a U2 fan?
July 18th, 2022 under Tracy Morgan, U2. [ Comments: none ]

Tracy Morgan was at the airport in Ohama recently when U2’s With Or Without You came on the radio. What did the comedian do? He sang along with Bono as though he was at one of their concerts. And with that, we now know who is the one U2 fan left in the world.

BTW I love that Morgan gave a little show to Haley Madeline and the people around him, and they tried to act numb about it.

It’s a beautiful day thanks to Anthem Lights’ U2 mashup
October 6th, 2020 under Anthem Lights, U2. [ Comments: none ]

There are plenty of musicians who do mashups of songs, but my favorite group is Anthem Lights. I actually discovered them at a veterinarian’s office.

Anyways, they decided to show U2 some love with a medley. Anthem Lights took the Irish band’s songs With or Without You, I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For, Beautiful Day, and Pride (In the Name of Love), and made them one beautiful song.

If you are looking for a tune to make you feel happy today and no longer numb, then you found with this tune.

Bono is not too old to hopscotch

Bono might be 59 years old, but he is not too old to act like a 5.9-year-old who sees a hopscotch board. As soon as he saw it on the ground, he found what he was looking for. Some fun. The streets might have no names, but the floor has some numbers!
