Back in the early ’80s, Rick Springfield was the hottest teen idol out there. He had huge hits like Jessie’s Girl and I’ve Done Everything for You and he was starring on General Hospital as Dr Noah Drake. So it should be no surprise that child actress Helen Hunt was mad about him like so many other girls her age.
Well the 19 year old was working on the same lot as him in 1982 and she told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that she left a note on his car windshield declaring her love. How did he respond? Let’s just say Don’t Talk to Strangers is not only one of his songs it is what he does.
Sadly, the Oscar winner never heard from her, but she was able to share that story almost 35 years later. I wonder how he will react when he hears this? He will probably say, “I hate myself.” Imagine what could’ve been if he would’ve acted on her affair of the heart?
Back in 2001, Ray Liotta and Sigourney Weaver starred in the movie Heartbreakers and yesterday he told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that she wasn’t a Heartbreaker.
The Bravo host asked the Shades of Blue star to play Plead the Fifth handcuffed to his co-star Jennifer Lopez and the first question was who was the worst actress he kissed in any of his roles. Without hesitation the actor said it was, “Sigourney.” Didn’t say why, but safer he doesn’t because she is one of those actresses who I could see kicking his a$$.
The next questions was who was the most overrated rated actor from the ’80s and ’90s, and I agree with him that it is Clint Eastwood.
The final question was what is his most favorite and least favorite J-Lo songs. That one stumped him because he didn’t know her music. Me-ow! I only know that one song too, so I understand why he didn’t know her tunes.
Since he got that answer wrong, it was time for Jenny From the Block to answer a question. Cohen wanted to know of the 5 men that asked her to marry her, which one did she say no to. Since she was married to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd and Mark Anthony and left at the alter by Ben Affleck, who could #5 be? Diddy or Casper Smart or someone else? Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm?
No word if the two co-stars were ever freed from the handcuffs? If not, Liotta might become the 6th man to propose to her if you know what I mean.
Say what you want about Molly Ringwald, but she made Pretty In Pink what it is. I could not imagine anyone else but her in the lead role, can you?
Well, Jennifer Beals told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that she was offered the part of Andie. She said, “Frankly I am really glad that I didn’t take it because Molly Ringwald is so fantastic in the movie.” Then the Bravo host asked her why she didn’t take it, she told him, “The funny thing about Flashdance I wasn’t in school, the character is not in school, so you are not an age. And I thought if I play somebody who is in high school, then all of sudden I’m back there. And also I was going to college.”
Did she make the right choice? For herself, no. For us, yes. I mean, I can’t imagine loving the movie as much as I do with her in the lead role. I cannot see her being a good match with Jon Cryer, Andrew McCarthy, James Spader and Annie Potts. To me, Beals plays every role the same way. Monotone with a hint of bitch. That works for the roles she has been getting since The L Word, but would not have worked in the teen angst classic.
On that note, her next big movie after Flashdance was The Bride with Sting and it stalled her fame until The L Word came out nealry 20 years later. Yes, she continued to act, but no one really knew that she did because the Frankenstein movie was rightfully panned for being pure crap. So awful. Sting should never ever should act. But this not about him, it is about her making the right choice for us.
Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper are going on tour together and they are promoting their announcement on Watch What Happens Live tonight on Bravo. Before the show, the three of them posed for photos and Andy Cohen got a nice surprise. One that made the host say, “Tonight I’m Yours (Don’t Hurt Me).” That’s because Stewart gave him a love touch to that thing between his two hot legs.

Even though Jerry O’Connell loves being on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, his chair doesn’t feel the same way. Less than a minute before air, the middle of the chair he as sitting on suddenly snapped causing the actor to fall backwards. Thankfully, he is good at physical comedy and wound up unhurt. And we got a great GIF that we can’t stop watching over and over and over again.
