I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I have ever seen Alicia Keys with her hair down. She always has it up in either braids, a ponytail, or a bun.
However, the singer let her hair down as she talked about throwing out the trash in our lives. Not the physical kind, but the emotional type that takes over our lives.
So now that she is free of all of that garbage, I guess she decided to let her curls go free.
Do you know what? She needs to do it more often because she has such gorgeous locks to go with her beautiful face and voice!
James Corden is taking some time off to do his day job, but The Late Late Show must go on. Therefore, they asked several celebrities to host the talk show while he is off doing those other things. Like doing press for Cats, the worst movie of the year, and starring in another musical The Prom.
Stepping in for him between December 9-18th are Alicia Keys, Chance the Rapper, Jeff Goldblum, Ken Jeong, Melissa McCarthy, and Harry Styles. Their hosting dates will be announced later.
Good thing he signed a 2-year contract with CBS or maybe one of them could be replacing him like Jeff Goldblum or Harry Styles. Who knows maybe Chance the Rapper will surprise us and be the best one of them all?
We know a lot about Kelly Clarkson, but did you know she likes to make quilts. As a parting gift to her Voice coaches, she made them each one.
The American Idol described her inspiration for each as, “@blakeshelton was inspired by denim & blues, @adamlevine is rock & roll attire & @aliciakeys is purples & family 😊 love y’all!” But she also warned, “Yaaaassss! #quiltingismyjam ….but don’t look 2 closely because it sort of looks like a high school home economics project 🤣#madewithlovenotperfection.” To me, they are perfect because they are made from the heart!
What did Blake Shelton think of his? He wrote, “NEVER has a voice coach hand made me a gift!!! Thank you Kelly Clarkson!!!” Then he added, “I didn’t want Adam in my picture… What an absolute dickhead.” I love his bromance with Adam Levine as much as I love Clarkson’s quilts. The only negative thing about them, is we have no need for them in Los Angeles! And yet I still want one.
You know Kelly, if this singing thing does not work out, you totally be a quilt maker. I bet you Bed, Bath and Beyond, HSN or QVC would totally invest in Clarkson’s Piece by Piece.

For the first time since The Voice started, two women will be coaches on singing competition’s panel. They are Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys and they will be on the show in the fall.
I have to admit those are really good gets. Especially since you never know what Miley is going to say, which will make it so much more exciting!
The Grammys announced today that The Eurythmics are reuniting for music’s biggest night of the year to pay tribute to the biggest band ever, The Beatles.
On February 9, 1964, the Fab Four played The Ed Sullivan Show and music was changed forever. Exactly 50 years later, The Grammys is airing and they have some of the biggest names in music singing the tunes of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Star. Annie Lennox and her former partner, Dave Stewart, will get high off The Beatles’ hits with a little help from their friends Alicia Keys and John Legend, Maroon 5, and John Mayer and Keith Urban.
Sorry if this doesn’t seem like a sweet dream to me, but Ken Ehrlich’s tribute to 2/9/64 was such a bust at the Emmys that I have low expectations for this one. I mean are we going to go into every commercial break with some music legend singing a Beatles song. I like most people went through a Beatles phase and understand their greatness, but do people under 30 feel the same way? Their Beatles is Nirvana, and to be honest I am not sure they know their songs well enough to care to hear them performed at The Grammys.
And if you are going to do the tribute to The Beatles, then you are sure as hell better have Sir Paul, Sir Ringo, Yoko Ono, Julian Lennon and Sean Lennon, Stella McCarthy and the rest of the second generation doing something during the show. Otherwise to me the tribute is a complete bust.
Finally, whatever else Ehrlich has planned for the night; please don’t have Carrie Underwood sing Yesterday again because that was beyond painful to our ears. I love her, but I hated her rendition of the Macca song.
