Does this mean that Melissa McCarthy is going to turn into Spider-Woman?
March 17th, 2021 under Melissa McCarthy. [ Comments: none ]

Melissa McCarthy did an interview with In Style Magazine, and she professed her love to all the Australian critters. Well, I guess one of them read the article, and he gave her a love bite.

Now, she is not praising them. That is because she has her hands wrapped up in bandages, her body is itching, and it is also puffy. That does not sound like fun.

I just hope it spared her down under in the land down under. I mean, who wants to scratch that itch because she can’t do it. Oh, wait, her husband is there. He can do it!

Harry Styles replaces James Corden on The Late Late Show
December 2nd, 2019 under Harry Styles, James Corden, Jeff Goldblum, Ken Jeong, Melissa McCarthy, One Direction. [ Comments: none ]

James Corden is taking some time off to do his day job, but The Late Late Show must go on. Therefore, they asked several celebrities to host the talk show while he is off doing those other things. Like doing press for Cats, the worst movie of the year, and starring in another musical The Prom.

Stepping in for him between December 9-18th are Alicia Keys, Chance the Rapper, Jeff Goldblum, Ken Jeong, Melissa McCarthy, and Harry Styles. Their hosting dates will be announced later.

Good thing he signed a 2-year contract with CBS or maybe one of them could be replacing him like Jeff Goldblum or Harry Styles. Who knows maybe Chance the Rapper will surprise us and be the best one of them all?

Do you think Melissa McCarthy is happy about her Oscar nom?
January 22nd, 2019 under Melissa McCarthy. [ Comments: none ]

Melissa McCarthy received her second Oscar nomination this morning, the first for Best Actress, and I think we can all agree she is happy about it. Look at her reaction in this video if you don’t believe me.

She probably has a better chance of winning the Razzie for Happytime Murders than an Academy Award for Can You Forgive Me, but for today it is all about the nomination. She can focus on all of that other stuff next month. For now, it is just a Happytime!

Talking about Happytime Murders, I love that movie! If you need a good laugh, then you should watch that film. If you need a good cry, then watch what movie no one has seen that will win the Oscar.

Rose Byrne answers if there will be a Bridesmaids 2
August 31st, 2018 under Melissa McCarthy. [ Comments: none ]

Ever since Bridesmaids came out, people have wanted a sequel for it. Even the Today show anchors want one. Therefore, today when Rose Byrne was on the morning news show, they asked her if we are going to see Bridesmaids 2.

The actress told them, “I don’t think so. I don’t think its in the cards. But, look, never say never, I doubt it. I haven’t had a call.”

Would she do it if they called? She said, “I would work with the girls in a second.”

Are you sad that as of now, there will be another movie with them? Personally, I thought the film was overrated, so I am totally OK with it.

The Happytime Murders is the funniest movie of the year
August 24th, 2018 under Joel McHale, Melissa McCarthy, Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

When I saw the trailer for The Happytime Murders, I watched it in a loop because I could not get enough of it. I was like did I just see a puppet have sex and ejaculate all over the place for what seems like forever. At that moment, I was in love. However, I was a little hesitant that all of the highlarious moments would just be in the trailer. Boy was I wrong, there are several more moments that you can never unsee. Yet, they will make you laugh until you cry. Thus, you are going to run out and want to see the movie that is in theaters now.

For over 30 years, puppets have lived among us, but now they are starting to get their own identities. Phil Phillips (Bill Barretta) is one of them and he was the first and only puppet cop. One day, when he was out on assignment, something goes wrong and he was fired from the force. Now, he works as a private eye.

Sandra White (Dorien Davies) comes to him for help. She hands him a letter full of cut out letters that someone is threatening to expose her secret sexual life. She cannot let this happen to her, so she asks Phil to help her.

His first clue leads him to an adult bookstore that he frequents. He runs into an old friend, Mr. Bumblypants (Kevin Clash), who denies that it is he shopping at the store. However, Phil is not there to catch up, he needs to solve his case. He goes to the back room to get a file. While he is there, everyone in the front is gunned down. Stuffing and more will fly all over the place.

The cops are called in and his old partner, Detective Edwards (Melissa McCarthy) is one of them. The two of them cannot stand each other. Nevertheless, as more murder count starts to go up wherever Phil is at, the two of them realize they are going to have to work together. Because now the case is personal, they killed his brother, Larry (Victor Yerrid) and Phil’s ex-girlfriend, Jenny (Elizabeth Banks). Humans and puppets get it on; do you have a problem with that?

Back to the case, Phil realizes that they all have something in common; they were all on the show Happytime Gang. Why is someone killing everyone off from this beloved show? That is what Phil and Edwards have to find out before they are all past tense.

Thankfully, they will have some help from Lieutenant Banning (Leslie David Baker) and FBI agent Campbell (Joel McHale). Although, the latter one hates puppets especially Phil.

Just when you think you know what is going to happen next, they surprise you. All leading to one hell of an ending to an epic movie that is your new go-to comedy when you need to laugh uncontrollably.

Brian Henson, Jim Henson’s son, directed this movie. His father gave us The Muppets for kids, and his son gives us puppets for adults. Why can’t we have something that our kids cannot have that makes us feel like kids?

As I said, this is not a movie for kids. There is a lot of raunchy humor, but it is not disgusting. I still have images from the movie; I cannot get out of my head. That is not a bad thing because I laugh when I ever I think of some of the things they did in the adult bookstore and many of the other scenes. It is very creative is all I will say.

Well, that and do not listen to the critics who hate this movie. They love Oscar-nominated movies and those put us to sleep. This movie will make you laugh until you pee. Therefore, bring a towel with you.

In addition, make sure to stay through the credits to see some behind the scenes action. Like how the puppets interacted with the humans and that sex scene. The sex one was so wrong, and yet so right.

Just like the title The Happytime Murders, you will leave having had a happy time and a killer one!
