Last week on Ghosts, we met Sam’s dead mother. Tonight at 9p on CBS, we get to meet Jay’s living sister.
Bela (Punam Patel) decides to visit her brother (Utkarsh Ambudkar) because she just went through a bad breakup and wants to escape the memories. Sam (Rose McIver) can’t wait to see her sister-in-law because she is hoping that they can finally bond.
However, as soon as Bela gets there, she says she met a new man online, and he lives near the mansion. So, Bela is happy, and Sam’s plans to cheer her are ruined. Or are they?
Meanwhile, the Ghosts are all upset because one of them has to give up their room so Bela can have it. Pete (Richie Moriarty) being the good guy that he is, offers to give up his room. However, Pete’s new girlfriend, Nancy (Betsy Sodaro) from the basement, doesn’t want to give up her new comfortable bed. Therefore, she teaches Pete to stand up for himself. How will Thor (Devan Chandler Long), Sass (Román Zaragoza), Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky), Flower (Sheila Carrasco. Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) and Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) feel about the new Pete.
And then there is pantless Trevor (Asher Grodman). He got his hands on Jay’s iPad and did something he shouldn’t have. Now, he is in trouble. But not before we get to see that he really isn’t a bad guy. He actually has a good heart. And Jay needs a new password.
All in all, it is another lovable episode of Ghosts. And that is why it is this season’s #1 new show. Find out why everyone who watches it is falling in love with it. Each week, they are finding new viewers, will you be one of them this week?
Will Arnett has done scripted and unscripted shows. Coming on February 3rd, he is going to combine the two with Murderville on Netflix.
The six-episode procedural is described as “Meet Senior Detective Terry Seattle (Will Arnett), Homicide Division. For Terry, every day means a new murder case and a new celebrity guest star as his partner. But here’s the catch: each episode’s guest star isn’t being given the script. They have no idea what’s about to happen to them. Together, the guest star and Terry Seattle will have to improvise their way through the case… but it will be up to each celebrity guest alone to name the killer.”
Who are the celebrity detectives? They are Annie Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Ken Jeong, Kumail Nanjiani, Marshawn Lynch, and Sharon Stone. I think Conan’s episode will be the funniest, and Lunch is going to surprise us. What does a football player know about improv? We will find out.
I can’t wait to see what mayhem they bring because you know they are going to bring it.
Degrassi has been around for over 40 years, and that is long enough to give us a third generation of the show about high school and everything that comes along with it. Therefore, HBO Max is giving birth to the third take of it.
The original Degrassi launched in 1979 and ran until 1991. Degrassi: The Next Generation ran from 2001-2015. And coming in 2023, we will get the next next generation.
Since this is just an announcement, we don’t know if anyone (minus Drake) from the original two versions will be back in some form. But, I am hoping they find a way to merge them all together. That is what made TNG so special.
Well, that and the fact that they take on uncomfortable issues and make them relatable for the teenage audience. They don’t shy away from the challenging and controversial subjects like abortion, homosexuality, suicide, teenage pregnancy, and so much more.
Unlike American shows that focus on teens, Degrassi is not cheesy or dumbed down. They keep it real, and teens appreciate that. I am hoping they continue to do that with the upcoming ten episodes.
Even though the second sequel will not debut for another year, The Next Generation will begin streaming in the Spring on HBO Max. And the mothership is coming to the Cartoon Network soon. If you have never seen the 1,0, then you should watch it. It is television excellence.
Can you tell I am a Degrassi fan and can’t wait to see what happens next?
Monarch, the County Music Primetime Soap that stars Trace Adkins and Susan Sarandon, was supposed to debut at the end of the month. However, Fox announced yesterday, they are holding the drama until the Fall.
“With an incredible pedigree of talent and musical performances, the powerfully compelling drama, MONARCH, is a top priority for FOX Entertainment in 2022. Unfortunately, due to the unavoidable realities of the pandemic and the profound impact Covid-19 continues to have on our industry and around the world, it is necessary to reschedule MONARCH’s January 30 debut to the Fall. As the cornerstone of FOX’s new 2022-23 slate, shifting a show of this magnitude allows us to have its entire first season produced, create additional, high-profile content and promotional windows to support launch, and give our viewers the best opportunity to enjoy the series as intended with a non-compromised run of episodes. We thank our cast, producers, writers and the entire crew for their tireless work and continued dedication to the country music-filled world that is MONARCH.”
Personally, I am bummed. I was looking forward to it. But, I can wait a few months for the series to debut.
No word, what show will replace it, but I am sure Fox will tell us soon enough.
Yesterday on Chicago Fire, they killed a roach on the first responder drama. Or did they? Wolf Entertainment revealed the truth. It was a date with mayonnaise inside of it. It looks real, right?
And yes, not everything in Hollywood, or should I say Chicago, is fake. They did use real cockroaches. They had a trainer with trained bugs pull a roach out of the ear.
While the insects there were real, the head was fake. So not everything is real. And not everything is fake. Therefore, we just have to guess which is which.
