Several stores are relaxing the wearing a mask rule for people who have been vaccinated. However, people who got the COVID-19 vaccine look like the people who haven’t gotten it. So how are stores going to know who got it and who didn’t? They are going to go with the trust system.
There is only one problem. The people who haven’t been wearing masks are the same ones who won’t get vaccinated. So why would they suddenly put on a mask now? They won’t. Therefore, people like me, who are not selfish and care about others, will still have to wear masks. Because I am not maskhole.
Do you want to see a maskhole? Here is Ricky Schroder asking people to boycott Costco because they won’t let him in since he is maskless. If a private business says you have to wear a mask, then you have to wear one. If the store chooses to follow the law of the land, then you have to follow what the store says. If you don’t like that, then you can go to another store. It is that simple.
Stores require you to wear shirts and shoes, so you do it. A mask is just another piece of clothing you are required to wear. These are the same people who went to SCOTUS and asked that if a store doesn’t want to make a cake for a gay wedding, then the bakery does not have to. They can’t just have the rules only be for one side. They are for both.
So, Ricky, you can’t ask for anarchy against Democrats when you support Trump. You are either support the government and its laws, or you don’t. You can’t only support the law when your guy is in charge.
I know you went to school on the set, so you probably didn’t learn the basics. Therefore, maybe you should learn them before you make a stand. Life is not a sitcom that you can ask the writers to do whatever you want. There are network execs who are in charge, whether you like them or not. It is just part of the job.
So when Jet Blue asked you to put on a mask, they had every right to do that. That is why you got a warning. If you don’t want to wear a mask when you fly, then take a train or a car. Private companies can do what they want. If you don’t like it, then go somewhere else.
And use some moisturizer because the sun really wrinkled your face. You would be a lot better with a mask on, so we don’t have to look at all of that sun damage. See, masks can be good. You would look a lot younger with one on.
Now that CBS dramas are almost all initials like NCIS, FBI, CSI, Magnum PI, and SWAT, they don’t have as much room for shows that don’t have them. Therefore, they are getting rid of Unicorn, All Rise, Clarice, and SEAL Team. The latter two are moving Paramount+. This means that Boreanaz’s record of being on television since he started on Buffy the Vampire Slayer lives on. His career is like a Vampire’s; it just won’t die.
While they all got bad news, Chuck Lorre got good news. All four of his sitcoms, Bob Hearts Abishola, Young Sheldon, B Positive, and United States of Al will all be back next season.
ABC is adding four new shows to their lineup, including a Wonder Years reboot starring Dulé Hill as the dad and Don Cheadle as the narrator. Then they are getting schooled (why did they cancel that show) with Abbott Elementary, a workplace comedy at a school that stars Tyler James Williams, Lisa Anne Walter, and Sheryl Lee Ralph. Next up is Queens, which brings back bandmates, who are now in their 40s, hoping to recapture their success. It stars Eve and Brandy. Finally, there is Maggie, a show about a psychic who sees her future and decides to live in the present.
Those are the shows you can watch next season. Unfortunately, you will not be able to watch American Housewife, Rebel, For Life, and Mixed-ish anymore because they were all cancelled.
ABC really screwed up with American Housewife. They had a darling show, but they never knew how to promote it. The network also kept changing its timeslot, so you never knew when it was on. It is a real shame because it was a heartwarming comedy that deserved better. Just like Mixed-ish, which is a better show than Black-ish. I said it, and I meant it.
They say if something is not broken, then don’t fix it. I guess NBC feels they are broke because they are making a lot of changes to their schedule next year, and I don’t find it funny. That is because there will be no comedies on their lineup. Which means it will be all reality and drama.
They have two themed nights. Wednesday is still going to be Dick Wolf in Chicago, while Thursdays are all about his Law & Order shows.
But let’s get back to the beginning of the week. The Voice is back in the Fall, and only the Fall. Then on Tuesdays, you will notice This Is Us is not there. This is because the melodramatic drama’s final season was pushed to midseason. However, I am not complaining because I am looking forward to La Brea. I am a disaster movie junkie, so a show about a huge sinkhole is right up my alley.
So what about their other Sci-Fi shows? Debris and Manifest are in a sinkhole waiting to find out if someone will rescue them. They are not the only shows down there, so are Good Girls, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, and Ellen’s Games of Games.
Got all of that? I didn’t either because it is too much change, and I don’t do well with change.
