BTWF: Skylar Astin on Live with Regis and Kelly
April 27th, 2020 under Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: none ]

Before Skylar Astin was a guest on Live with Kelly and Ryan, he was in the audience of Live with Regis and Kelly. He looks exactly the same now as he did when he was 18 on that 2006 episode.

The Goonies reunite, as Adam F. Goldberg reveals he’s working on a sequel
April 27th, 2020 under Josh Brolin, Ke Huy Quan, Mackenzie and Sean Astin, The Goldbergs, The Two Coreys. [ Comments: none ]

Next week, The Goonies turns the big 3-5. In honor of that anniversary, Sean Astin, Corey Feldman, Jeff Cohen, Ke Huy Quan, Josh Brolin, Kerri Green, and Martha Plimpton reunited today to talk about the movie that still has a giant cult following.

So much so, Adam F. Goldberg dedicated two episodes from his sitcoms to it. One on his Fox show Breaking In and the other on his ABC comedy The Goldbergs. You can say he is a huge fan. How huge? He revealed, “For the last 9 years I’ve been secretly writing PART 2 for fun. It’s my masterpiece. I even had a big meeting scheduled with Richard Donner… canceled ’cause of the lockdown! THE GOONIES 2 WILL happen when life resumes. Promise!!!”

If anyone could write a sequel that is loyal to the original, it is him. I hope Donner takes that meeting as soon as he is allowed to take meetings again. Who doesn’t want a Goonies 2? And who doesn’t want it from someone who really idolized the original film?

I know it is a little premature, but let’s all do the Truffle Shuffle in honor of this most excellent news.

Is Chelsea Handler audition to play Audrey II?
April 27th, 2020 under Chelsea Handler. [ Comments: none ]

Chelsea Handler wanted to show us what books she is reading in her own special way. She sat naked with the three novels behind a cactus bush.

This photo makes her bush look like a venus flytrap that will devour anyone that comes near it. Kind of like Audrey II did Little Shop of Horrors. Which makes me wonder if she wants to play the role in the rumored remake. Obviously she would just be the puppet and not the voice.

Nickelodeon’s Danger Force is doing a quarantine episode
April 27th, 2020 under Coronavirus, Nickelodeon. [ Comments: none ]

A few weeks ago, CBS announced that All Rise is doing a quarantine episode, and now Nickeldeon’s Danger Force is doing one too on May 9th.

According to the press release, the episode centers around “the team of superheroes-in-training raising the stakes and lightening the mood with a virtually produced special where the city of Swellview is quarantined from a way-too-natural gas leak from the nearby Bhutt Factory.”

The show revolves around four kids, Chapa (Havan Flores), Miles (Terrence Little Gardenhigh), Mika (Dana Heath), and Bose (Luca Luhan), who have been accidentally mutated into superheroes. Now the four of them are learning how to use their powers correctly from Captain Man (Cooper Barnes) and Schwoz (Michael D. Cohen).

I think this is a great thing that Nick is doing for the kids because it will help to make things seems a little more normal for them during all of this madness. Between this and the Kid Choice Awards, airing the week beforehand, there is plenty for them to watch on Saturday nights.

That is music to their parents’ ears. Hopefully, Frankie Grande’s musical number, This Gas Shall Pass, from the episode will be too.

Lifetime is doing anti-mothers Mother’s Day marathon!

I have always said if I ran a television station, I would air Mommie Dearest for 24 hours straight on Mother’s Day. Well, Lifetime is doing something close to that on May 8th and May 9th. They are doing a marathon of their movies based on some awful moms who almost make Joan Crawford look like a good one.

Since most of us will not be able to spend the holiday with our moms because of social distancing, watch these movies so you won’t feel as bad. Have her watch too, so she will appreciate how well you turned out as compared to some of the children in these telemovies. It is a win/win for everyone but the dads.
