Back in March, Alex Trebek revealed that he is battling Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Most of the time when it is diagnosed, the patient finds out in the final stage of the disease. That means that their 5-year survival rate is “in the single digits.”
The Jeopardy host wishes he knew earlier that the symptoms he was experiencing were signs he had this cancer. That is why he is teaming up with World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition to let people know that the persistent stomach pain, mid back pain, sudden weight loss, new-onset diabetes and yellowing of skin and eyes are all “common symptoms” of this cancer.
Hopefully, by spreading the word, this cancer will stop spreading to stage 4 before the person knows they have it. He is saving lives by getting this important message out there and hopefully one of them is his own.

It has been almost two months since Kevin Hart was in a very serious car crash and he is not the same man he was before it happened.
On September 1, he and two friends were driving in his classic car, when the driver suddenly lost control of the car and they crashed. Hart broke his back in three places and has been radio silent since then.
Yesterday, he broke his silence along ith showing video of his recovery and said, “After my accident, I see things differently. I see life from a whole new perspective and my appreciation for life is through the roof.” He now knows that tomorrow is not guaranteed.
The actor also feels this is Gd’s way of telling him to slow down and that is what he is doing now. He is spending time with the people who have stuck by him like friends and family. Then come the New Year, he will do the same with his fans.
2019 was a crappy year for Hart between the accident and deciding to turn down the Oscars hosting gig after controversial comments he made about not approving if his son was gay came back into the limelight. Since this year has been life-changing for him, I am sure we will see how it has changed him come 2020.

There are so many streaming sites now and the really good ones charge a monthly subscription. Which makes you wonder how much you are willing to shell out for all or most of them. Some are under $5, some are closer to $10 and a few want $14.99.
HBO Max announced today that in May it will debut for $14.99 a month. Yes, they have over 10,000 hours of content, but are people willing to pay that much when they can get Disney+ for less than $5 or Hulu for $5.99 or Netflix for $11.99? It is a lot of money with all the other channels and streaming sites out there. I think they should try to find a way to lower that cost or they will go away like AppleTV eventually will.
