Is Lance Bass bitter he did not get the Brady Bunch house?
September 16th, 2019 under HGTV, Lance Bass, The Brady Bunch. [ Comments: none ]

Last year, the Brady Brunch house went on sale for the first time in 45 years. Several high profile people but bids in and Lance Bass was very close to owning the house. However, HGTV was the ultimate winner.

The network brought in some of their biggest stars to renovate it. They turned it into a 4-part series about making the inside look just like it did on the show. A Very Brady Renovation airs Mondays at 9p.

Before we got to see all the hard work that they did, HGTV invited the *NSYNC singer to the home to see the transformation. Is he bummed he did not have the winning bid? Nope, he is “super excited” they got it because he knows “it’s in good hands.” That and he is also happy that someone else did not buy it and tear it down. Which is a very LA thing to do.

Now that he got that out of the way, it was finally time for him to tour the dream house. The first thing he said when he opened the door was, “This is incredible. This is perfect.” Then when he got to Mike’s den, he declared, “It looks so real that it looks fake.”

As amazing as it is to see on television, it is even more incredible to see it in person. Like he said as he was checking out the groovy digs, “This is one of the happiest days of my life.” I know that feeling because that is exactly how I felt.

I am happy he is not bitter about it all. It truly was bought by the right people who did the iconic home justice.

Make sure to tune into tonight at 9p to see how they were able to recreate a sound stage in a house 50 years after someone designed it on the Paramount lot. Not only do you get to see the renovation, but the Brady kids are part of it. Who doesn’t love seeing Barry Williams, Maureen McCormick, Christopher Knight, Eve Plumb, Mike Lookinland and Susan Olsen together again? I love it, but then again I love everything Brady!

Cameron Mathison is home after his cancer surgery
September 16th, 2019 under Cameron Mathison. [ Comments: none ]

A week ago, Cameron Mathison revealed on Home & Family that he was diagnosed with Kidney cancer last month. As part of his treatment to beat it, he had surgery to remove it on Thursday. On Friday, he let us know that all went well and he only lost 20% of his infected kidney.

Today, he gave us another update, “Unbelievably grateful to be back home after a successful partial nephrectomy surgery. It was an eventful 4 days in the hospital, and doing well at home now. @inderbirgillmd is a miracle worker, and my whole family is indebted to him and everyone at @keckmedofusc 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

“Thank you to everyone sending prayers, positive thoughts, flowers, cards, stuffed animals, food, love💕… and kidney beans😂

“Love you guys😌 #1.8kidneysleft #cancersucks #cancerfighter #feelingloved”

Now that he is home, he will spend the next two weeks recuperating before going back to work on the Hallmark talk show.

Before, going under the knife, he said that after surgery, since the cancer had not spread, he would not require chemotherapy and radiation. Hopefully, that has not changed.

A big take away from his story is that if you know there is something wrong, not only go to your doctor, but also make sure they check it out. Had he not been insistent about getting an MRI because of his mysterious stomach, who knows when they would have found the tumor that was growing inside of him for at least a decade.

Happy he is on the road for recovery and I will continue to pray it goes smoothly.

A mini Taxi reunion!
September 16th, 2019 under Taxi. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday was the 41st anniversary for the debut of (my favorite show) Taxi. To celebrate the show’s birthday, Tony Danza, Christopher Lloyd and Carol Kane all got together for brunch.

Oh to be a fly on that fruit, so that I could hear what Tony Banta, Reverend Jim and Simka were talking about. I am sure they remembering the good times with their late friends and co-stars Andy Kaufman, Jeff Conaway and J. Alan Thomas along with the ones that are still with us Danny DeVito, Marilu Henner and Judd Hirsch.

Such fond memories they must have. Especially since they have been friends for over 40 years. Both Danza and Lloyd wrote, “41 years after Taxi premiered, we still hang whenever we can! Love the Taxi family. Friends for life.” How many shows can say that?

And how many shows can answer, “What does a yellow light mean?”

If you have never seen Taxi, watch it on Hulu, CBS All Access and/or Tubi TV. I promise you will find yourself laughing hysterically with each episode. I still do that and I have seen each one more times than I count.

Rod Stewart reveals he beat Prostate cancer
September 16th, 2019 under Rod Stewart. [ Comments: none ]

Rod Stewart has been keeping a secret for the last two years and this weekend he finally shared it.

Back in February 2017, the singer was diagnosed with Prostate cancer. According to Mirror he told an audience at a charity event for Prostate Project and European Tour Foundation, “No one knows this, but I thought this was about time I told everybody. I’m in the clear, now, simply because I caught it early. I have so many tests.” He was told he was cancer free in July.

The 74-year-old told the crowd, “Guys, you’ve got to really go to the doctor.” Then he added in a way fitting for him, “Finger up the bum, no harm done.”

My father beat it too. It is very curable cancer if it is caught early. Therefore men, go get the blood test and let the doctor in. You know you like it a little?

When it comes to Stewart, Glad he is cured.

Aaron Carter cancels his tour dates after appearing on The Doctors
September 16th, 2019 under Backstreet Boys /Aaron Carter. [ Comments: none ]

On Thursday and Friday, Aaron Carter appeared on The Doctors for a health update and to ask him them to convince his mother to go to rehab. Which she agreed to do for a drinking problem.

On the latter episode, he revealed that he has been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia and acute anxiety. While he was talking about all the medicines he has been taking for those conditions, neuropsychologist Dr. Judy Ho offered to evaluate him for free and make sure that all of those diagnoses are correct. He agreed to meet with her after the show if he could pay her.

This morning he revealed on social media, “I appreciate the love and efforts from my supporters but after my next two shows coming up in Kentucky & Missouri & after I fly to Vancouver to do the toy drive which I’m donating 400 toys and over 1k of fan donations I’m canceling the rest of my shows for the remaining year.” Then he added, “I have to put my health first and I hope you can all understand how much I need this time to heal and recharge my batteries. I love you. Stay strong. Stay healthy, and just know I’ll be back next year ready to go. But as a man, this is what I need to do to have some peace. Xo”

No word if he met with Dr. Ho before making this decision. Either way, he made the right choice and needs to put himself first. Hopefully, he will continue to get the help he needs.
