The CW announced that this season they will be doing a 5-part crossover with all 6 of their DC Universe shows that will air in two different years called Crisis on Infinite Earths. That is a lot in one sentence, so I will break it down for you.
On December 8th, Supergirl starts it off. Batwoman joins in on the fun the next day. Then The Flash finishes up things for the week the following night. Finally, it all concludes on January 14th with Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Black Lightning will not get an episode during the crossover event. However, characters on the show will participate throughout the episodes.
CW also announced that voice actor Kevin Conroy, who voices Batman in the animated shows, will guest star as Bruce Wayne from the future.
Today is Tony Bennett’s 93rd birthday. However, you would never believe it looking at this photo he posted today with his wife, Susan. I guess if you marry a woman 40 years younger than you are, it is going to keep young. So much so, he looks like a man in 60’s and not his 90’s.
How does he feel about being 7 years away from turning 100? He said, “Wow! I’m 93 today and I feel like I am just getting started…”
Nancy O’Dell announced yesterday that she was leaving Entertainment Tonight effective immediately. She joined the show in January 2011 and replaced Mary Hart. Before ET she worked at Access Hollywood from 1996-2009.
Here it what she told the audience: “Tonight, I’m excited to tell you about the start of a new chapter in my life…a new chapter for this small-town, grateful girl from Myrtle Beach, SC, who used to watch fellow Carolinian Leeza Gibbons and Mary Hart on Entertainment Tonight thinking, ‘Wow, what beautiful, powerful women and what a cool job they have!’ … to now having that job for 9 years and being a veteran host on the red carpet for almost 25 years. I never take for granted how you have welcomed me into your home and your busy lives. Not long ago, a dear friend told me to make a life list, writing down on one side career milestones, and on the other side, what I still want to accomplish. The first list contains a near embarrassment of riches for me; like being chosen as the host to step into the shoes of the legendary Mary Hart, what an honor, then the people, all the celebrities who have let me into their private worlds, many becoming good friends, and getting to work with so many wonderful and talented people here. I wish I had the time to list names because so many will forever be in my heart, like you, KFray (Kevin Frazier). As I take on that list of things still to come, it means leaving this position, but it does not mean I am leaving the genre. I’ll be back and it won’t be long. I’m going to enjoy some time off with the most wonderful gal in my life, my daughter, because they grow up way too fast. She is always my priority and then I’ll focus on my new project. My manager/agent and dear friend of 20 years, John Ferriter, helped me get this job at ET. He passed away just a week ago. Shortly before his passing, he told me life is too short, do what makes you happy, you’re creating your own best life. I think I’ve heard Oprah say that too… two smart people… but I’m proud to have this show as part of my story. This last sign off is for you, John, and for all the viewers whom I have an unbreakable bond with from our daily chance to talk all things entertainment. That bond will never change. So, it’s not goodbye, but rather just turning the page to the next chapter.”
No word what is next for her. However, she still hosts several shows on Reelz.
Sue Trowbridge, who runs the site Interbridge noticed something strange about the guest booking for the late night shows on August 8th. Since she has been listing which people are going to be on what talk shows since 1994, she would know if something is out of the ordinary.
What did she notice? She saw that Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert all have a “Special Guest TBA.” Who this guest is, we have no idea since they are to be announced.
Here are some of my theories. My first thought is Beyonce is going to release an album on the 9th and she is going to make the announcement on their shows. Or maybe one of the studios is releasing a secret movie next Friday? Could Oprah Winfrey or Michelle Obama be announcing that they are running for President of the United States? What about a bunch of celebrities announcing a telethon to raise money for something? Avengers: Endgame is coming out on home video the 13th, what if a cast member appears on each show with a special announcement.
Here is another interesting question, how will they handle it? Will they each get an exclusive with said guest? They all tape and air at different times. Would they all set a certain time so they could all interview them at the same time in a group interview? Will the guest give all of them a pre-taped statement? Will they each interview the person individually? Since Conan airs first, we will have to wait until T0ursday at 11p to find out.
Who do you think the mystery guest is? It has to be someone HUGE and it is not television show related.

Can you believe it is August 2nd already? To me, it still feels like April. Well, we are not alone. Several news anchors all over the United States and Canada feel the same way. That is why they took the airwaves to declare that they cannot believe it is August already.
How many? Jimmy Kimmel Live compiled them all them together in one video that proves that local news all over North America can have the same story.
How much do you want to bet in September they are going to be saying the same thing. Obviously, they will swap out September for August, but you know what I meant.
