Lee Daniels and Jussie Smollett were close friends, but then it all changed. Back in January, Smollett claimed he was involved a homophobic/racial hate crime. As time went on, his story seemed to have a lot of holes in it.
While it was easy for us to distance ourselves from him, what about his Empire family? Daniels is talking about that to Vulture and he has a lot to say about the matter.
Does the show creator feel embarrassed supporting his star after all that has come out since that night? He says, “I’m beyond embarrassed. I think that when it happened, I had a flash of me running from bullies. I had a flash of my whole life, of my childhood, my youth, getting beaten.”
Even though he is embarrassed about it, part of him still believes that Smollett is telling the truth. The director loves him like family, and that is why all of this hurts him so much.
So much so, he says, “I had to detach myself and stop calling him, because it was taking away the time I have for my kids, the time I have for my partner. It was affecting my spirit and other shows, everything.”
Does he think that Smollett is partially responsible for Fox deciding that this season of Empire will be its last? He does in some way, but he is grateful for the time he has had with the show.
You know the saying, it ain’t over until the fat lady sings? Well, he revealed that the final season will also be setting up for a possible spinoff. He did not say what it will be. We will just have to tune in to find out.
Adam Sandler filmed his new Netflix movie Murder Mystery all over Italy. If you are in Italy, you eat and eat and eat until you cannot eat anymore. Then you wat again.
He ate so much that he told Conan O’Brien yesterday that when he returned home, he thought he was having a heart attack. As he was lying in bed with chest pain, he thought how his family is going to miss him. Then he thought, should I call 9-1-1?
Finally, it hit him like a ton of bricks. He had a brick of sh!t growing inside of him. He went to the bathroom and let all of Italy flow out of him. In other words, all those yummy carbs had created a big old crap in him. The only way to get rid of it was to sit on the porcelain Gd for five minutes and poop until there is nothing left.
Ever since then, he has never felt that pain again. Did he learn his lesson? Probably, not! Who would? Italian food is too good to pass up. Even if it takes forever to pass.
Back in 1981, Mark Hamill was a household name thanks to Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back. Because of that fame, he was able to star in The Elephant Man on Broadway. While that was him, Bradley Whitford was waiting for his start in the biz and was working as a waiter in Manhattan to make ends meet. The Studio 60 star got a little treat one night when Luke Skywalker walked into his restaurant and sat down at his table. Not only that he got a good tip from the star.
Yesterday, when they were both on The Late Late Show, James Corden wanted to see if Hamill remembered that moment from nearly 40 years ago. Sadly, he did not.
What he did remember was when he worked as a waiter and that is why he gave Whitford a good tip. He also remembered when he worked at Jack in the Box. He was in the back, but all he wanted to do was work the window at the drive-thru. Finally, he was given the chance and felt that the clown needed to sounded like a clown. He did his best clown voice and his manager sent him home…permanently.
I wonder if that manager realizes he fired the future voice of Joker? I wonder what he is doing now? Besides kicking himself for firing Mark Hamill.
The first time I saw Bon Jovi, I had behind the stage tickets. Normally, that would be a bad thing, butt it was not. That is because Jon Bon Jovi has the best ass in Rock’n’Roll, and I enjoyed spending the whole time looking at the two half cantaloupes in his tight jeans with my binoculars.
That was a long time, butt some things never change. For example, in this video diary from the Tallin and Stockholm tour dates, you can see his cheeks are still just as round. All that Jazzercise he does during his shows is paying off big time.
He truly is someone who gets better with age. Normally, I don’t find men with grey hair attractive, but on him it sends my tempature up to 7800° Fahrenheit.
Seriously though, I want to thank the videographer, who read my mind, and focused on shooting below the belt.
In conclusion, watch this video and have a nice day! I know I am now.
We are all becoming suckers again for the Jonas Brothers thanks to their first new album in a decade. The first song off their album, Happiness Begins, is already climbing the charts.
Jimmy Fallon decided to give it a new sound with some classroom instruments and The Roots yesterday on The Tonight Show. When they were done, I was even more of a sucker for Sucker. You can say I am no longer chasing happiness because I found it.
