Amblin released the first photo from their upcoming movie West Side Story and I wonder will we “find a way of forgiving” Steven Spielberg for his attempt of remaking the musical? The Jets and the Sharks look so scrawny. When they get into a rumble, they will need to choreographed in order to distract us from how wimpy they are.
Now, you might be thinking that I am judging this film based on one photo. I am not. I am judging it on Spielberg’s past overrated work since Schindler’s List and lack of musical experience. He is more suited to do Fiddler on the Roof than this. It is all just so randumb, I mean random.
While that is I feel about it, are you going to be jetting to it like a shark on December 18, 2020?
Taylor Swift released the music video for her gay anthem You Need to Calm Down with several LGBTQ icons, Ryan Reynolds (I guess her friend Blake Lively didn’t like it so she made her husband do it) and Katy Perry.
That’s right the feuding singers made a “Happy Meal” and called a hamburger and french fries truce. Next up, will probably be a duet. Just in case you didn’t think either one could get more annoying. Together, they will be twice as worse.
I wish I could say something positive about this song and video, because the message is a positive one, but I can’t. It is as cheesy as, wait how come Perry’s burger does not have cheese in it? I guess even the cheese, like Blake Lively, wanted no part of this ’50s nightmare.
Yesterday was Courteney Cox’s 55th birthday (can you believe it?) and she spent it with some old Friends, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow. Even though their show ended 15 years ago, it is nice to see that they still live up to the title of their show. It also proves to us in a way that Monica, Rachel and Phoebe would still be celebrating their big days together. Right?
Adele is a really really big Spice Girls fan and she got to see them live yesterday. Not only that she finally got to say “hello” to Ginger Spice. Which made her cry happy tears, unlike the tears we cry when we hear her music.
How excited was the singer about her night? She wrote, “Oiii last time I saw the Spice Girls at Wembley was 21 years ago! Tonight with my nearest and dearest i cried, laughed, screamed, danced, reminisced and fell back in love with my 10 year old self. It’s no secret how much I love them, how much they inspired me to run for my life and never look back. I finally got to meet Ginger, I got drunk with the girls and quite frankly I can’t believe how far I’ve come 😂 thank you for the madness I get to live, I couldn’t have got here without you 5 BRITISH legends! I love you! ❤️”
Personally, I will never understand why they never asked Adele to replace Posh Spice on tour. She would have been great as Naughty Spice.
