Alexis joins Dynasty tonight, bitches!
March 30th, 2018 under Dynasty, Nicollette Sheridan, Revivals-Reboots, The CW. [ Comments: none ]

It is the moment that Dynasty fans have been waiting for all season long, and tonight at 8p on The CW Nicolette Sheridan makes her debut as Alexis Carrington. I have to be honest, she is no Joan Collins. Nobody else could ever come close to her. Having said that, she does an impressive job. After all, she has very high stilettos to fill.

The episode starts off at Blake’s (Grant Show) father’s funeral and the family is getting reacquainted with her. Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) has not seen her mother since Alexis took the divorce settlement money and left her two kids to be raised by their father. Therefore, this is not a happy reunion.

Now it is time for the whole family to go back to the house for the reading of the will and they are all shocked that Alexis got their house. Now, they will do everything in the power to stop from that happening.

It is going to be a fight. Well, actually there is a huge fight between mother and daughter that causes both women to get all wet. As in they fall into the pool and continue cat fighting it out until one is victorious. No one is going to dare go down there and break it up. Why would they, this is too good to stop! Meow.

Once they are dry, it is time for the bullets to fly. Literal bullets. What happens next is what we have all been waiting for since September.

Just like Collins saved the original show back in the ’80s, expect the same from Sheridan. After all, she went from being a desperate housewife to a desperate divorcee. What more do you need to check out this campy primetime soap?

We are another step closer to a Mad About You revival
March 30th, 2018 under Helen Hunt, James Corden, Paul Reiser. [ Comments: none ]

Back in December, Paul Reiser said he was interested in a Mad About You Reunion. Yesterday when his TV wife Helen Hunt was on The Late Late Show, she told James Corden that she is also up for it.

But it gets even better than that, she revealed to the CBS host that she and Reiser had breakfast earlier in the day at her house to talk about it. They just don’t want it to “suck”. Then she shared with us, “We would like to do it. Although, we felt very proud of what we did. We just don’t want to wreck it and make it sucky. That’s the goal.”

And with that confirmation, NBC is probably calling them as you read this and offering them a 10-episode deal. Soon it will be nothing but our childhood’s on TV. You know what, I am OK with that. Very OK with that!

Be prepared to be shocked, Roseanne picked up for season 2 aka 11
March 30th, 2018 under Roseanne. [ Comments: none ]

It took ABC over 60 hours to announce, but they have decided to pick up Roseanne for another season. It will be the revival’s 2nd and the series’ 11th.

Is anyone surprised by the news, especially since it got the president’s seal of approval? That and over 21.869 million viewers with the delayed viewing count. More viewers in one night than some shows will get for their whole season.

Congrats! Now I cannot wait for the networks to give us Welcome Back, Barberino, Lamont & Son, Gooder Times, My Two Moms, Buffy the Zombie Slayer, Divorced…without Children, The Golden Grandgirls, Designing Men, Early Bird at Cheers, The Brady Bunches and Supernatural.

The CW gives Life Sentence a death sentence
March 30th, 2018 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

The CW announced today that they are changing up its schedule next month. Starting on April 18th, after the Riverdale musical episode, The 100 will take over Life Sentence’s Wednesday night 9p slot. Then on April 27th, a week after Jane the Virgin airs its season finale, Life Sentence will air the rest of its season out Fridays at 9p.

What makes this very significant is that they are both the lowest rated shows on broadcast TV. Both are fighting to be the first show to get The Blutarsky. That is where a show gets a 0.0 in the 18-49 demo. Both shows have been able to barely stay above the 0.1, but airing back to back might force both of them into The Blutarsky territory. Something I hope is not the case because I am one of those very few people who love both shows.

Why aren’t you watching the campy Dynasty and the heartwarming Life Sentence? They are too good to go down in flames.

Sean Hayes scares Debra Messing!
March 30th, 2018 under Debra Messing, Sean Hayes. [ Comments: none ]

While filming a scene for yesterday’s Will & Grace, Sean Hayes thought he would have a little fun with Debra Messing. The actress was focused on her driving, so the actor saw a huge opportunity. He sneaked up beside the car door and popped his head in through the open window. The site was such a fright that Grace did not handle it, with well, grace.
