Peter Scolari’s fairytale Emmy win!
September 11th, 2016 under Emmys. [ Comments: none ]

Peter Scolari was not initially invited to the Ball this year, and yet he still went home with the Gold Prince named Emmy yesterday at the Creative Emmys.
Another Peter, Peter MacNichol, was originally nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, but he was disqualified when it was determined that he had been in a little more than 50% of Veep’s episodes. Therefore, they replaced him with the Bosom Buddies star for his work as Dunham’s dad on Girls. You would think that Scolari’s chances of winning would be slim, but he won his first Emmy after nearly 40 years of making us laugh on shows like Buddies, Newhart (which he received 3 nominations) and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
Congrats on finally winning, it has been a long time coming and much deserved.
Can I tell you a little secret, I have had a crush on him ever since I first saw him on Bosom Buddies? Thus, I am so excited for him!

Son of Zorn is the most original show in a long time!
September 11th, 2016 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15-w5138uok
In a year of remakes and reboots, it is refreshing to get something different. Tonight after the football game on Fox, you will get to meet Son of Zorn and his father.
Zorn (Jason Sudeikis), the Defender of Zephyria, Conqueror of the tribes of Agon, decapitator of the dark herdsmen of Grith, has a 17 year old son that he hasn’t seen in several years. He decides to surprise Alangulon aka Alan (Johnny Pemberton) and he is the one that gets surprised.
His ex-wife Edie (Cheryl Hines) is engaged to Craig (Tim Meadows), who is nothing like him, and his nerdy son wants nothing to do with him.
Edie tells her ex-husband that he needs to move to Orange County, Ca and get to know his son before it is too late. Now, he needs to get a job and a apartment, which would be a lot easier for him to do if he wasn’t an animated character.
Did I bury the lede? Yes, Zorn is animated He-Man like character and he is going to try to live life in our world. Something that is much harder than he thought and he slaughter things for a living. Not only for him, but for Alan too. It is natural for teens to be embarrassed by their dads and Alan’s father does nothing but embarrass him in front of his friends and a possible girlfriend.
Will Zorn be able to fit in to our world as he works as an entry level sales person and reconnect with his family that doesn’t really want anything to do with him?
It will be interesting to see what happens in this hybrid animation/live action show every Sunday at 8:30p starting in two weeks.
Can I tell you, Son of Zorn was the show I was most looking forward to this Fall season and it doesn’t disappoint.

Eddie Murphy does a better Tracy Morgan than Tracy Morgan
September 10th, 2016 under Eddie Murphy, Jimmy Kimmel, Tracy Morgan. [ Comments: none ]

Eddie Murphy was on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday and the two men talked about their friend Tracy Morgan. Then all of sudden, Pluto Nash did an impression of his friend and it was spot. Not only did he sound like him, he also mastered his mannerisms. It was amazing to watch.
So much so, I want to see Morgan and Murphy do a body switch movie where they have to have to imitate the other one for most of it like Freaky Friday. How hilarious would it be to to see skinny and “Fat Murphy” in the same film together.

ABC dumps Mistresses, FX stops listening to Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll
September 10th, 2016 under ABC, Denis Leary. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCLNv7U5OHw
As soon as ABC and Paul Lee parted ways, you knew that Mistresses was cancelled because he was the only one who was fan of the British remake. Due to the fact, the former ABC Entertainment President had already picked it up for the 4th season, they decided to air it. Now that that season is over, so is the show. Which comes as no surprise because it was never a ratings hit. Not even close to getting to the altar on that one.
Meanwhile, FX cancelled another show this week (Tyrant was first) that hasn’t gotten any nominations and that show is Denis Leary’s Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll. While I loved the bitchin’ comedy’s first season, the second one lost its way. It was more about their loves life than Rock’n’Roll and that is what made the show so much fun to watch. Oh well, Leary will be back with something soon and it will be f*cking awesome. What he really needs to do is something on Netflix because he needs the freedom to be who he is and that is bad a$$ cursing MoFo!

Is Kate Walsh really 48?
September 9th, 2016 under Are they really their age?. [ Comments: none ]

A video posted by Kate Walsh (@katewalsh) on

Kate Walsh decided to have a Spa day and she shared a video of herself enjoying it. While at Spa Imagine, she took part in their steam room, sauna, intense shower, cold plunge and finally a mineral bath. You can tell by her face, it was a lot of intense temperatures. But what you can’t tell by her body is that she is 48 years old. Can you believe it because her anatomy says otherwise?
