Before Simon Cowell was telling singers they were barking up the wrong tree on American Idol, he was performing as Wonderdog on Top of the Pops. OMG how furry was the 22 year old singer back in 1982, thankfully he started waxing by the time we got to know him. But in all seriousness his voice is as recognizable now as it was then!
Marie Osmond was suppose to have a syndicated talk show this fall on TV, but Broadcasting and Cable is reporting that due to these economic times the show is no longer happening. Marie was going to film the show in Vegas where she is currently doing a live stage show with her brother Donny Osmond.
“I want to express my deep appreciation for the faithful support and dedication shown by the numerous stations,” said Osmond, who returned to the public spotlight after a popular run on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. “It was my sincere desire to return their enthusiastic responses by producing an exceptional talk show for their fall schedules; produced with the high quality that is associated with the Marie Osmond brand for over four decades. This project, under proper conditions, still remains a strong passion of mine.”
I wonder if Donny was doing the show with her if it would’ve been a go this fall. While I like both of them solo, they are much better as a pair!
BTW the news is not all bad for her, KVVU is reporting that Donny & Marie was extended for 2 more years and they will playing at The Flamingo until 2012.
On Friday August 14th The N will be airing its first original movie, their Canadian show Degrassi Goes Hollywood and let’s they are starting off with a bang! The N will be bringing back alumni Paige, Ellie, Marco and Craig, recent grads Emma and Manny and current members of Degrassi for a movie that will mesh them all together, but still keep the Degrassi feel. I think that is in large part because it directed by Degrassi original Stefan Brogen aka Snake!
When Manny (Cassie Steele) bombs her audition for Jason Mewes’ new film, she must face the consequences when he casts Paige (Lauren Collins) instead. Paige’s old friends Marco (Adamo Ruggiero) and Ellie (Stacey Farber) fly to Hollywood to support her, but soon realize she’s become a diva overnight. While in Los Angeles, Ellie reunites with Craig (Jake Epstein) and old emotions surface between the former couple. Meanwhile, Manny (Cassie Steele), Jay (Mike Lobel) and the members of the Degrassi band The Stüdz board a school bus for a cross-country road trip to help Manny reclaim the lead role in Mewesical High. Will Manny make it to L.A. in time to claim the role she knows she deserves or will her high school nemesis Paige be standing in the way of her dream?
Not your typical Degrassi episode, but it is still the show we all love and enjoy! Believe you are not going to want to miss Degrassi Goes Hollywood when it premieres on The N at 8p and check out Degrassi: The Next Generation tonight at 8p!!! Next week I will write a longer review, but for now I will tell you that I so love this movie!
Yesterday on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, he brought up a bunch of the female audience members who were wearing sun dresses to open the show. Then he had one of his puppets make a comment and which one did he choose? The pig! Proving even he thinks all men are pigs!!!
Now Ferguson knowing he crossed the sexual harassment line, so he said that he would do the same on Friday’s show but with guys only in tight pants. Only one problem he pre-tapes his Friday shows so it wouldn’t be fair to us ladies. So midway through the show he brought up Randy and I don’t think it is as even keel as Craig’s think because we only got one guy. Do you agree?
BTW I love the way Craig interacts with the studio audience like and brings them up on stahe with him during the show. See what he does with them tonight on CBS at 12:35a on CBS because you know he will do something!!!
Two years ago Seth Rogen was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the same night as Megan Fox and she asked him if he would stay when she was on. So he being the courteous man that he was obliged and tried to go for the traditional late night male guest to female kiss. Only one problem, she just touched him arm and walked on by and he has been scarred ever since. Jimmy Kimmel being the nice man that he is decided to remind Rogen of that moment over and over and over again when he was on the show yesterday! I just love Seth’s reaction then and now to diss and no kiss. I actually feel so bad for him and can understand why she did, but that didn’t stop me from laughing at him. You know he probably took it so much worse at the time because it was a raw time for him since it was so close to when he had to film a fake sex scene with Katherine Heigl in Knocked Pp.
BTW tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC at 12:05a he has on Anne Heche and next week he has on Ashton Kutcher (Tue), Vanessa Hudgens (Wed) and Quentin Tarantino (Fri).
