Tonight on Jon & Kate Plus 8 on TLC at 9p we find out what Jon & Kate Gosselin’s big announcement is. The popular vote is that they are going to announce that they are getting a divorce. While others (like me) are thinking that the two are separating. Many have speculated the split since before this season even began especially since the tabs have claimed that both of them have been having affairs. Since the season premiere aired the two have not been photographed or seen together by the paparazzi. And to make matters worse Jon was rumored to be looking at apartments in Trump Plaza in NY last week. Maybe the family is moving to NY, but I doubt it.
So what do you think their big announcement is and do you even care anymore? Let’s just hope this isn’t a ploy by TLC to get viewers to watch the show because I don’t think any of us will be happy with them if they teased us all week that we were going to get an announcement and we get nothing.
UPDATE: According to People, the big announcement is that they are divorcing. Jon and Kate filed the paperwork to initiate a legal split at the Bucks County Courthouse in Reading, Pa., Monday afternoon. TLC must be so p!ssed that they filed before their big announcement. Life & Style confirmed that Jon is moving to NYC. He will live their during the week and come home to spend time with the kids over the weekend. Hopefully the kids will get through this OK.
Stephen Baldwin was forced to quit I’m a “Celebrity”…Get Me Out of Here and not for the reasons we thought. Initials reports said the youngest Baldwin brother quit the show because he was dealing with his house that is rumored to be going to foreclosure. But over the weekend he called in to radio show on Blog Talk Radio and said the reason he quit the show is because of his over 125 bug bites and 2 of those bug bites had larve implanted in them. Ewww, ewww, ewww…
“I suffered in the first eight days of production, while in the jungle, over 125 insect bites on my body,†he told Kevin McCullough, co-host of Baldwin/McCullough Xtreme Radio.
“And two of them – much to my surprise – became kind of lumpy initially. Within 72 hours they were these kind of half-dollar-size lumps under my skin that were probably about an inch thick. [The] reactions just weren’t the same as the other 123, so to speak.
“I did get to take some time with the medic, who explained to me that, in his opinion, he didn’t think that is was the ‘implantation of insect larvae into my flesh,’ but that – oh, gosh – that’s what it could be.
“So… they tested these things and, sure enough, Stevie B. was ‘pregnant.’
“I videotaped this process where they put this kind of thick, tough medical adhesive tape that has a chemical compound on it that suffocates the larvae while it’s beneath your flesh.
“And as it suffocates, it tries to back itself out of the hole that it’s burrowed into your skin. And when it does that, the tail section of it gets stuck to the tape.â€
OMG! That would totally freak and gross me out.
For the first time since the show started, the “celebrities” are now religion-free without him and Speidi. Actually now that both Janice Dickinson and him are gone, there really are no celebrities left on the show. And as much as I don’t want to watch it tonight at 8p on NBC, I know I will wind up checking it out to see how they explain his departure.

Inglourious Basterds is less than two months away, and now with the debut of the full trailer we are finally getting more insight into Quentin Tarantino’s WWII Epic starring Brad Pitt, Eli Roth and Diane Kruger. In the full trailer we are finally seeing the plot that the Basterds have to take down the Third Reich and Hitler. How thrilling does that explosive plot look! I so can’t wait for this movie on August 21st.
Sadly though I read over the weekend in NYMag that Cloris Leachman’s scene got cut from the movie.
Did your part really get cut out of Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds?
I have heard that, and I would suspect that that’s true, because it’s very long and my thing isn’t woven into the plot. It would be a very good scene to cut, in the sense that it wouldn’t hurt the picture. It’s a wonderful little scene. I love doing it and he loved it, too, but it’s not going to make or break the film.
What happens in the scene?
I’m an old Jewish woman in Brooklyn — we shot it in Berlin, but it’s supposed to be in Brooklyn — and I open the door and this young man [Eli Roth] is standing there and he asks me to sign his bat. He’s heard about these Germans, what they’re doing to Jews and he asks, “Is there anybody who’s been affected by the Nazis?†and I look at him and start signing my sister’s name. And you know that they’re just going to take the bat and just kill some Nazis.
We were hoping you’d reprise your role as the German grandma from Beerfest.
No. It’s a very serious movie. A thrilling script. Oh my goodness. I’m sorry. I wish it would be in because it’s a very good scene with a marvelous writer. But you can’t be upset about these things. It’s part of the business. I always think a better bus will come along that I’ll catch.
How can they cut out Cloris? There is always time for Miss Leachman. Plus that scene where Eli Roth goes to the families of people who are affected by the Nazis and has them sign the bat he will use to collect his scalps sounds so powerful. Hopefully since Quentin is rumored to be re-editing the movie that debuted last month at Cannes, he will add that scene to film.

The first season of The Secret Life of the American Teenager ended with Amy giving birth to her baby and tonight at 8p on ABC Family we see how she is dealing with be a 15 year old mom. Also on the season premiere, someone will announce that they are pregnant, someone will lose their virginity and someone will die. And the person who dies will leave everyone crying including us.
If the second season is as good as the first season, I can’t wait to watch it all happen. You don’t have to be a teenager to enjoy this show, you have to like great television.
So tune into The Secret Life of the American Teenager on ABC Family at 8p and watch the new show about a gymnastics team Make It or Break It at 9p!
