There have been hundreds of women who have played mothers on television, and Happy Days’ Mrs. Cunningham is always in the Top 10 of Favorite TV Moms.
It turns out that Marion Ross, who played the iconic matriarch, is just as loving of a mother off-camera as she is on.
Case in point. Yesterday was her impressionist son, Jim Meskimen’s birthday. Instead of letting her wish him a happy birthdaym, he wished her one with a beautiful bouquet of flowers because he told her, “She did all the work.” Then he told her he loves her, and so do we. And we do!
That is one of the most beautiful sentiments I have ever seen a son give to his mother. I wish my mom was still alive so I could wish her a happy birthday on the day I was born. So, if your mom is still with us, then that is what you should do. It is one of the best gifts you could ever give her, and it didn’t cost a thing.
If you are unfamiliar with Jim Meskimen’s talent, you have to follow him on TikTok. He does spot-on impressions of Robin Williams, Patrick Stewart, Jack Nicholson, and Matthew McConaughey, just to name a few.
Seth Meyers took Kevin Hart Day Drinking yesterday on Late Night, and we learned a lot about the actor. For example, he doesn’t know who he has acted with.
That’s right. Meyers wanted to know whether he had worked with certain actors and on which projects. He didn’t know if he had worked with any of them or on what. He thought he was connected to Jennifer Aniston when they both appeared on the same Live in Front of a Studio Audience but on different shows. However, they both were in Along Comes Polly. In his defense, I would want to forget working on that movie too.
The best one was the last one. Hart said he worked with JK Simmons on the yet-to-be-released Die Hart 3, and the Late Night writers said they did not work together. Both are wrong. The two actors shared a scene on Party Down. Whoops!
The best part of their day together is when Seth asked him to read slogans for the fake hard seltzer, Hart Seltzer. The comedian was not allowed to break as he read his lines. If he did, he had to drink. There was one that was so funny, Hart fell out of his chair!
And this is why Day Drinking with Seth Meyers continues to be the best late night bit!

For some reason, Ryan Seacrest is ABC’s golden boy. He has hosted American Idol, Live with Kelly and him, Disney Specials, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, and now Wheel of Fortune. Therefore, you would think he has been asked to put on his Boogie Shoes for Dancing with the Stars at least once. Right?
Yesterday, when he was on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked him how many times the dancing competition called him to be on the show. The answer is…ZERO!
That’s right. His phone hasn’t rung from that one competition show on the Alphabet network.
Would he do it? Yes. He thinks it would be fun. However, he says he knows he would be an underdog. Because, like his singing, he cannot do that either.
Ever since Monday, there has been a weird internet rumor that the 20,000 Haitians, who migrated to Springfield, Ohio, are eating their neighbor’s cats and dogs. JD Vance, who is hated by cats even though he is a pussy, has been spreading that debunked rumor on social media.
Yesterday, during the debate, Donald Trump brought it up, even though Springfield authorities denied it. In fact, the woman who allegedly ate a cat is an American citizen and lives in another section of the state.
Even though I knew all of that before the debate, not everyone did. Jerry O’Connell and his dogs heard those words coming out of his mouth, and they were scared—very scared, as you can see in the photo The Talk host posted during the debate.
I don’t know why they were scared. We don’t eat our pets here in the States, although this childless cat lady is having her cat for lunch!
Yesterday was not Donald Trump’s night. First, Vice President Kamala Harris kicked Donald Trump’s ass in the debate. It was not even close. It was a blood bath.
If that was not bad enough for the “man” who claimed Hatain immigrants are eating the pets of Springfield, Ohio (they are not), Taylor Swift finished him off by endorsing Mrs. Harris to be President of the United States in November. And we know how influential her endorsement is to the billions of Swifites around the World.
Ms. Swift wrote: “Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.
“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.
