Marie Osmond is on tour, and she was hungry after a show. So when she saw that there was a Taco Bell that was open, she decided that is where they were going to eat.
There was just one little problem. Only the drive-thru was open, and their tour bus didn’t fit.
What to do? Osmond got out, in the snow, and placed the large order on foot. Then, she waited behind the cars until it was her turn to pay and pick up the food.
Once all of that was handled, it was time for her to eat her burrito with extra cheese and onions. I feel bad for the person who had to sleep near her after that.
BTW I have mad respect for Osmond for getting out of the bus and ordering all of that food. If I were her, I would’ve said I am too big of a star to do that.
The Mexican Pizza is back at Taco Bell. So, to celebrate, the fast food restaurant released a musical that includes cameos from Dolly Parton and Doja Cat. You are going to eat it up like the menu item! It is that delicious. Yum Yum!
Tomorrow at 8p ET, Mexican Pizza: The Musical is going to debut on TikTok. If it is anywhere near as good as that preview that Miss Dolly shared, I expect the Tonys to love it. Not only the Tonys, but also the Emmys, the Oscars, the Michaels, the Josefinas, and so on!
So, make a run for the border tomorrow, pick up the beloved menu item, and watch the special from the comfort of your throne.
Back in 1985, Taco Bell added the Mexican Pizza to its menu. And it remained a popular item until they pulled it in 2020.
Actually, it is still beloved. So much so that fans petitioned to bring it back. It worked because the fast food restaurant brought it back earlier this year.
Well, Taco Bell was not prepared for how many people were going to want it. Therefore, they ran out of ingredients and had to remove the item once again.
Well, it is finally back! At least for rewards members until September 15th. Then it is a free for all. Well, not free because it costs $4.99. And it is worth every penny.
While the pizza might not be free, the Bell’s musical starring Dolly Parton which is dedicated to it is. And it debuts Thursday at 5p.
Back in 2020, Taco Bell removed the Mexican Pizza from its menu because it was complicated to make during the pandemic. Then, in mid-May, it was back on for two weeks before it was gone again. Why? Because it was selling out all over the country, and they didn’t have enough ingredients to keep up with the supply.
Since then, people have been wondering when they can run to the border again, and now we know.
“It’s going to be relaunched mid-September, and it’s going to be a permanent item,” Taco Bell CEO Mark King told Fortune. “I had more feedback—hate mail!—over the removal of Mexican pizza [than any other time].”
Most excellent news! And hopefully, now, we will finally get that Dolly Parton musical for the item they promised us.
One last note, I got one of the Mexican Pizzas when they were back. And it was really yummy, so I can’t wait to have another one because yo quiero Taco Bell!
