Have you ever made a rubber band ball and wondered how big you could make it? You were probably impressed with yourself when it grew to the size of your hand. Right?
Well, you don’t have anything on Claude Moore. He just made it into the Guinness Book of World Records with his ball. How massive is it? It weighs 11,578 lbs, almost six tons.
Claude has been making rubber band balls since he was in middle school to keep himself busy in between doctor appointments and medical treatments for his Hemophilia.
The Detroit, Michigan, native has continued this hobby as he got older. He started making this one in 2015 with the hopes of making the largest one on record. And on August 29th, he succeeded.
Congrats to Claude. I wonder what would happen if he tried to bounce it. Could you imagine? It would be like when you suck at yo-yo, and it just drops straight to the floor and stops. Although I think his rubber band ball would probably cause an earthquake if he dropped it to the ground.
