Seth Meyers had a Netflix special called Lobby Babby that was about his second son, Axel, 3, who was born in the lobby of his building. His first son, Ashe, 5, barely made it to the hospital before he made his debut.
After two close calls, the Late Night host and his wife, Alexi Ashe, learned their lesson. So ten weeks ago, she gave birth to their daughter, Adelaide, in the bathtub of their home. Wait, they had a baby ten weeks ago, and no one knew about it! That is what happens when they didn’t have a close call on the way to the hospital.
Congrats to the couple who had a secret baby in their tub while their sons were sleeping!
On July 3rd, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani said I do. To make the moment memorable, the Country singer sang his vows to the love of his life.
Ever since Caron Daly, who officiated the wedding, revealed that fact; we have wondered if we will hear that heart song. Yesterday, when Shelton was on Late Night, he told Seth Meyers that We Can Reach The Stars will be on the deluxe version of Body Language that comes out on December 3rd.
I am sure we will not have to wait that long to hear the song. I bet you a penny he sings it to her on an upcoming episode of the Voice.
Talking about the NBC singing competition, the newlywed trashed the other three coaches. When Meyers asked him how confident he is about winning this season of The Voice, he did not hold back on ripping his fellow coaches a new one.
He started things off with Ariana Grande. “Listen, Ariana, she is a super talent, very sweet human being.” But, he had a but, “My feeling is, she’s going to suck as a coach.”
“And Kelly Clarkson, I think it’s fizzled out.” Then he explained why “There’s too much Kelly on TV. I joke that NBC is ‘Nothing But Clarkson.’ People are tired of her. People are sick and tired of her.”
Finally, he got to the EGOT winner, “And with John Legend, he’s just so high all the time. I don’t even know if he knows he’s on TV.”
Because of all of that, he thinks this year is going to be “gimme” for him. Will it be? We will just have to tune in to find out.
Selena Gomez was on Late Night yesterday to talk about her Hulu show Only Murders in the Building with Steve Martin Short. However, Seth Meyers wanted to also discuss her makeup line Rare Beauty.
Since talk is just talk, he decided to show us how her mascara looks on him, even though he never put it on himself. Well, Rihanna put it on him when he was wasted, but he never used the magic wand on his own lashes.
Anyways, with some instruction from the actress, he gave it a try. How did he do? If this talk show thing doesn’t work, he can become a makeup artist. What do you think we should call his beauty line?
Now that Seth Meyers is back doing Late Night in the studio, it is time for him to go Day Drinking again. This time he went with Lorde, and they got wasted. Him more than her, and I blame his staff for that. When you watch their day together, you will understand why I say that.
What was really his downfall is that he had to do a shot anytime she asked him to say her full given name, and he got it wrong. How hard could that be? Her name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor. After a few drinks, no one will be able to repeat that correctly. And she kept asking him what her name is.
As sh!tfaced as he got, she also felt it the next day. So much so, she was given an IV drip in her hotel room so that she could perform on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that night.
No matter how sick they felt on Tuesday, they had a fun Monday. They might not remember it, but they will always have this video to remind them.
Ann-Margeret is the type of woman who is gorgeous no matter how old she is? She has always been a beauty and will remain one as long as she walks this Earth. Therefore, you can understand why someone like Seth Meyers would be totally crushing on her ever since he was young.
Yesterday, he finally got the chance to interview her on his Late Night show. It was so cute to see the middle-aged host’s face turn into a little boy’s.
Even though he was totally fangirling over her, he was still professional and courteous to her. Unlike how some of the other late-night hosts would have handled it. When they do it, it is either annoying, creepy, or vomit-inducing.
It is moments like this why I say (after Conan O’Brien ends his run) that Meyers is the best host in late night. Not only is he the strongest interviewer, but he also has the best delivery during his monologue. He deserves more respect because he makes all the other hosts look like amateurs.
