We might be too old to go to summer camp, but we can still enjoy it bug-free every Wednesday on NBC at 10p with Camp!
It is that time of year for Little Otter Family Camp to open their doors and the kids can’t wait to get away from their parents. Well everyone but Buzz (Charles Grounds), whose mom runs the camp. Mackenzie Granger (Rachel Griffiths) is running Little Otter Family Camp by herself for the first time because she just got divorced from Buzz’s dad. This won’t be an easy task for her because the camp is having some financial difficulties and Roger Shepard (Rodger Corser), who runs the neighboring camp, is more than willing to buy it from her. She doesn’t want to give it up because it has been in her family for three generations, but she just might have to.
Now it isn’t only about the grownups at Little Otter Family Camp, it also about the kids and the counselors who work there. Cole (Nikolai Nikolaeff) is the handyman around the camp, but he wants to be handy with someone who isn’t interested in him. Kip Wampler (Thom Green) is a Counselor-In-Training, and he has yet to come out of his shadow. He will try his hardest to with fellow-CIT Marina Barker (Lily Sullivan), who needed to get away from her life for a while. And the thing she wanted to get away from will catch up with her at camp. Then there’s Senior Counselors Robbie Matthews (Tim Pocock) and Sarah Brennen (Dena Kaplan), who have been going to Little Otter Family since they were youngsters and been dating just as long.
All of them will try to have as much fun as possible, but life keeps getting in the way. Even though it does, they won’t let it bother them that much. They will all have that bond, that you only get when you go to summer camp. You know exactly what I am talking about!
Camp has that ’80s and ’90s teen drama feel, but with more of an adult vibe. So it’s like we get to reminisce about two things from our teen years, but we get to enjoy those things as an adult and like an adult! So get the marshmallows out and enjoy Camp in your comfy bed with the air conditioner on tonight and every Wednesday at 10p on NBC.
America’s Got Talent is back on NBC this Tuesday and Nick Cannon sang James Brown’s Living in America for the show’s promo. You know what Mr Mariah Carey’s Got Talent. Almost as much as the people who are competing on the show this season. Actually he is a lot better than most of them!
Save Me makes its heavenly debut tonight at 8p on NBC and you want to be saved by this show.
Beth (Anne Heche) is an unhappily married mom who used to be a weekend weather girl, but now stays home and drinks her troubles away. Troubles like her husband, Tom (Michael Landes), is cheating on her and her teenage daughter, Emily (Madison Davenport), hates her. Actually to be real everyone hates her.
One night after partying a little too much, she chokes on a sandwich and dies. At least for a little while because when she wakes up something is different about her. She decides that now that she has a second chance at life, she is going to take advantage of it. What she doesn’t realize is her resurrection was a gift from above and now that higher power is communicating messages to her about the people in her life.
Now she is trying to start over which is going to be hard to do since she is kind of a prophet. What will she do with this new power? Will people think she is nuts? Will she get her family back? I guess we will have to watch every Thursday at 8p and 8:30p to find out in this shockingly funny comedy.
I wasn’t expecting to like Save Me, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. There is something refreshing about it and because of that we have something fun to enjoy in the summertime.
NBC announced their schedule for the fall and the spring and their new motto is “If it is broken, fix it!” At least that is what I am assuming it is because only three of the shows are keeping their timeslots. All the other shows are getting new ones and/or days. Let’s see it if works for them. I mean how much worse can it get?
When it comes to the changes they made, it will be interesting to see how it pans out for them. Moving a 10p show to 8p, will most likely change the feel of Revolution because it is on during a family. That should be interesting because the show has been so much more violent the second half of the season. And to be honest, so much better. When it comes to Parenthood moving it to Thursdays at 10p, I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing. I mean when NBC had “Must See Thursdays” it would make sense, but ever since they lost their Friends it has no longer been the case. So is it the network showing faith in the show, or have they given up on the night. Hopefully Chicago Fire won’t be hurt by it’s new night. I mean it worked for Smash airing after The Voice, oh wait… I also think that NBC made a smart move by trimming the fatty hour off of The Biggest Lose and having it air only once a year. People are burned out on too many reality shows.
Here’s to hoping they have a better season!

Next week the networks will announce their fall lineups, but today they are already saying which shows will be back and which ones won’t. CBS picked up it’s 20th show (which is about as many as NBC cancelled) for next season and that show is Criminal Minds. The CW still feels that Nikita has a fighting chance and The Carrie Diaries is still fashionable for them. NBC voted for another season of Parks and Recreation, but they impeached 1600 Penn, put Up All Night to sleep permanently, decided we don’t want to see any Guys with Kids and finally put Whitney out of our misery. When it comes to Fox, Randy Jackson told E! News that he voted himself off of American Idol after 12 seasons. Fox also decided that Kiefer Sutherland no longer has the Touch for them.
I always hate this time of year, my shows always get the bad news…:(
