The cast of Magic Mike XXL were on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday and the ABC late night host asked them whose family member will be most traumatized by seeing this movie. Adam Rodriguez was the first to answer the question and he said he was concerned about his grandmother. Then he explained why, “She took a group of her friends at the senior housing that she lives in, when the first one came out.” Adding, “My proud grandmother walks in with 15 or so of her closest 85 year old friends. She is going to see her grandson in a big movie.” As soon as the movie ended, she called him to say, “Little baby why did you that to me? I was so embarrassed. I took all my friends to see this, you’re shaking your a$$.”
When he was done telling the story, he declared, “It’s not your grandmama’s movie.” The cast quickly disagreed with that statement. In fact, Kevin Nash found the positive effect if they go, when he said, “It knocks the blockage out.”
So if your grandmother needs to get that blockage out, then take her to see Magic Mike XXL. Heck, make grandma really happy and take her to see it and then to take her to a male strip club to see the real thing. You can put all of those singles she has been sending in your birthday card for years to good use! Let granny go crazy!
As we all know Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon hate each other and can’t wait to make fun of the other one. Earlier this week, the trailer came out for Damon’s latest movie The Martian and the ABC late night host had some fun with it. Not as much as Jason Borne does in it, but a lot. Why do I say that? Just watch Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s version of it called The Mastronaut: Emission to Mars. Need I say more?
Oh and I should warn you, if you watch it, you will not be able to get Violent Femmes’ Blister in the Sun out of your head.
Tonight at 11:35p on CBS, David Letterman is saying goodbye to late night after 33 years, a third of a century. Not only has he influenced many people, he has been a big part of all of the remaining talk show hosts’ lives. Jimmy Kimmel was obsessed with him since he was a teenager. Conan O’Brien would still not be on the air had Letterman not come on to Late Night to save it. Ellen DeGeneres and Jimmy Fallon were guests on his show when they were starting out. Finally, Seth Meyers wouldn’t have a show if Jay Leno didn’t screw Letterman out of The Tonight Show.
So in the last few days, all of the above took time out of their shows to rightfully salute their hero. So watch them pay tribute to the man who they all have to thank for their jobs. Without him Kimmel would still be doing radio, Conan would be writing for The Simpsons, Fallon would be doing unwatchable movies, Ellen would have another sitcom and Meyers would still be on Saturday Night Live. Come to think of it… Joking, they are all better when they are!
We know that David Beckham is extremely good looking and I can’t remember if we’ve ever seen him in a bad photo. So Jimmy Kimmel wanted to know if he could take a bad Selfie. At first, Golden Balls said no, but then he admitted he thought he could. The ABC late night host gave the football player his camera and instructed him to try. Did The Becks take a bad photo? He did, and its a face, I think, only his favorite spice could love. Hopefully, Cinnamon will still love him after this!
Mother’s Day is on Sunday, and a new poll shows that most kids love their moms more than their dads. Jimmy Kimmel Live wanted to see if that is true, so they sent someone out on the street to ask kids which parent they prefer. Not only did they ask them that question, they asked them that in front of their parents.
Who do you think the little tykes picked? Their moms! How did their dads react? You just have to watch this awwwdorable video to find out.
