Weezer recently released the Teal album which only has covers on it. One of the songs they chose to sing is Tears For Fears’ Everybody Wants to Rule the World. Yesterday when Rivers Cuomo and the band were asked to do Jimmy Kimmel Live they asked Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal to join them. Since the duo just wowed at Coachella.
Both bands started the 1985 tune out together, then the lead singers alternated verses and finally, they all concluded the song as one. Personally, I think they need to release that version of the single too. Smith and Cuomo’s voices are so beautiful together. Doesn’t make you think they can rule the World together.
Jimmy Kimmel Live asked the cast of The Avengers cast to read a children’s story about Thanos. It started off nicely with Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans. Then they got to Wakanda and that was it. At that point, the story went to hell. Hopefully, the movie will have a better ending, but since it is called Endgame, I doubt it.
Jason and Kate were in Las Vegas because they wanted to get married. Any wedding day is a special day, but Jimmy Kimmel, who was in town, decided to make it even more memorable for them.
First, he popped in via a live video feed and offered to officiate their wedding. Then when he asked if anyone objected to them getting married, David Spade showed up with Guillermo, who brought some Tequilla shots with him.
After they downed the shots and no one objected, it was finally time for them to become Mr. & Mrs. What better way to top off that first kiss than with that first dance. You can’t dance without music, so Celine Dion filled in that gap.
Thankfully for the newlyweds, what happens in Vegas, doesn’t always stay in Vegas. Because that is a moment they will always want to remember.
Let’s just hope their marriage lasts longer than Nicolas Cage’s. The actor’s recent Vegas nuptials lasted a whole four days.
Almost every year on April Fool’s Day, Jimmy Kimmel pranks his sweet, innocent, lovely Aunt Chippy and this year was no different.
I became a fan of the ABC show when he hired Spanish-only speaking painters to paint her white Las Vegas house bright orange and green without her knowing about it. When she came home and saw what they were doing, she went all Brooklyn on them. They are lucky they got out of there alive.
Since then he has kept doing mean things to her whether it is on April 1st or not. Some funnier than others and others are much more cruel. This year falls into the latter.
Aunt Chippy’s car needs a lot of work done to it, so he bought her new automobile as a present. Sweet, not yet. He sent his cousin Sal to her house to show us what was inside while she was at the studio with her nephew in Vegas. What was in her very clean living room? Her new car!
How did she react? She did not go all Brooklyn on him while the cameras were on, but I am sure when there were off, she ripped him a new one like her other nephew was doing in her home. Poor Aunt Chippy.
Matt LeBlanc was on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday and the ABC host wanted to know if he is still friends with the monkey from Friends.
That is when Joey said he liked the monkey, but his co-star David Schwimmer not so much. Every time Ross had to work with Marcel, he was like “Again with the monkey?”
Talking about Marcel, did you know that Marcel was really a Katie? That is right, the monkey on Ross’ back was really a girl.
Then LeBlanc shared a behind-the-scenes moment about Katie. One day when they were filming, she did what capuchin monkeys do, climbed up the lights on the soundstage to the ceiling and got lost. Therefore, all of these stagehands were trying to lure her down with mealworms. After a half hour, she finally came down and the continued filming.
NBC made a huge mistake by giving LeBlanc the Friends spinoff, as we know. They should have given it to Marcel/Katie. If they did, we would still be talking about how off the rafters it is.
