Ellen Pompeo reveals the origin story of vajayjay
November 13th, 2020 under Jimmy Kimmel, Shonda Rhimes. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 2006, Chandra Wilson uttered the word vajayjay on Grey’s Anatomy, and it is now a word in our vernacular. Did you ever wonder how it came (no pun intended) about? Cum (pun intended) on, you want to know.

Yesterday, when Ellen Pompeo was on Jimmy Kimmel Live, he asked her about carrying a penis around in a cooler on one of the episodes. That is when she shared the story about vajayjay.

During that episode, they said the word penis many, many, many times. However, ABC’s standards and practices would not let them use the word vagina. Therefore, when it came time for Wilson to say the word, she came up with vajayjay to make the men in suits happy.

By doing that, she also made us happy. Now, I want to know what other words she has cum (pun intended) up with throughout her lifetime.

Wilson is why I say Pompeo can go. I think Dr. Bailey is the real star of the show. Who doesn’t love her more?

Chris Stapleton is releasing a holiday album, A Very COVID Christmas
November 12th, 2020 under Christmas Music, Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: none ]

Chris Stapleton has two new albums coming out this holiday season. Tomorrow, he is releasing Starting Over, and coming soon we are going to get A Very COVID Christmas.

The Country singer rewrote some of the holiday’s biggest Carols for 2020, and gave us a sample of the CD on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday. There are tunes like Oh CDC, Coughing Around the Christmas Tree, Grandma Got Corona From a Reindeer and so many more. It won’t be a timeless classic, but it will be one for the next few years.

Grab your immediate family in the house, get some Egg Nog heavy on the Rum, and sing his songs with them around the plastic tree. Since they are the only people you are going to see on December 25th!

I wish you a merry COVIDmas. I wish you a very COVIDmas. I wish you very COVIDmas. And a happy flu year.

Watch TV anchors try to say Schitt’s Creek
September 23rd, 2020 under Jimmy Kimmel, Pop TV. [ Comments: none ]

Schitt’s Creek swept the Emmys on Sunday night, and television anchors all over the country wanted to tell their viewers about it. There is only one problem. The C in Schitt’s is silent, and they are not allowed to say the word it sounds like without getting in a lot of trouble.

So how are they going to do it? Jimmy Kimmel Live compiled their best efforts, and it is as funny as the Emmy-winning sitcom. And just like the show, they saved the best for last with a nice little zinger that ties it all up.

Jimmy Kimmel and Howard Stern talk about their favorite guests
September 18th, 2020 under Howard Stern, Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: none ]

Jimmy Kimmel once said that Jared Leto was his worst guest. The other day, Howard Stern asked the late night host who are some of his favorites.

The first two names that came to his mind are frenemies Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal.

The rest of the list is pretty much comedians. Kimmel started with David Spade and said that he is a good storyteller. Spade is so good at it that Jimmy declared him as one of the ten best talk show interviews of all time.

Stern than mentioned that one of his favorites is Steve Martin. When the shock jock told him that, Martin said, “It is a lot of work, and you don’t get paid for it. I am gotta go get a job where I get paid for it.”

Then both guys agreed that Martin’s friend Martin Short is also the greatest. After that they just went down the list with Wanda Sykes, Will Arnet, Jason Bateman, Norm MacDonald, Dave Chappell, and Bryan Cranston.

Quite an impressive list. Of course, they left out a few like Betty White, Blake Shelton, Henry Winkler, Terry Bradhsaw, Will Forte, Matthew Perry, and Josh Groban.

Who are some of your favorite people to watch on talk shows?

Finally, Jimmy Kimmel will return to the studio on September 21st. His first guest is…Charles Barkley. That puts a lot of pressure on the NBA legend to top himself. Will he score another slam dunk?

The Emmys will be a virtual event
July 30th, 2020 under Emmys, Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: 1 ]

The Emmys sent out a letter to the nominees telling them that this year’s event will be virtual according to Variety. As if anyone thought the Emmys were going to go on as is like they have in the past during the coronavirus pandemic.

Anyways, in the letter, they tell them they are going to bring the cameras to them on September 20th. They can dress up to the nines, or they can wear PJs. They can go live from their house or somewhere else. They don’t have to worry about looking good because they will handle that too. All they have to do is prepare to go live when it comes time for them to accept their award.

That makes me wonder if they are going to do that for all of the nominees or just the winners? I think it sucks to be the latter. Imagine you are waiting for the call that they are going to set up at your location, and they never show. At least, they will know they lost ahead of time, unlike Jimmy Kimmel who still has to host even though he will lose again. Awkward.

Seriously, I really feel bad for the losers who don’t get the 5-star treatment. When it comes to the ones, who will get the treatment and lose, at lease they can shut the feed off and drown their sorrows in wine and ice cream immediately. They don’t have to sit there in their clothes that are too tight and cry on the inside. They can cry in their homes with their loved ones. Unless they don’t have anyone else like Jennifer Aniston and have to cry all by themselves. Now, I am actually sad for her. Over it.

Just like I am over this year’s Emmys that completely ignored Amazon’s Hunters and NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.
