Would you eat a popsicle that tasted like a hot dog?
August 25th, 2022 under Fast Food, Heinz. [ Comments: none ]

Many of us have tried a corndog on a stick, but would you try a popsicle flavored like a hot dog on a stick? That is what Oscar Mayer and Popbar are trying to find out with the Cold Dog. Oh, and it comes with a “mustard” swirl.

“After the overwhelming fan excitement for our beloved Cold Dog, it was a no-brainer to make this hot dog-inspired frozen pop a reality,” said Anne Field, Head of North American Brand Communications, Oscar Mayer. “For more than 130 years, Oscar Mayer has been sparking smiles and bringing levity into everyday moments, and we are thrilled to bring fans another wonderfully odd way to enjoy our iconic wiener while beating the summer heat.”

Would you try it? I say anyone who has ever eaten a cold hot dog will avoid this thing like it is a Hawaiian pizza.

Oh no, there is a shortage of ketchup packets
April 7th, 2021 under Fast Food, Heinz. [ Comments: none ]

Do you want ketchup with that? That might be a problem when you go to any restaurant these days. Due to sit-down, take-out, and fast food establishments now using ketchup products, demand is greater than supply. There has been a 13% increase in demand as compared to last year. Therefore, they have had to limit how many packets you can get.

“The unmatched consumer love for our iconic HEINZ brand as well as our longstanding partnership with the restaurant industry are two responsibilities we take very seriously – which was why we made strategic manufacturing investments at the start of the pandemic to keep up with the surge in demand for ketchup packets driven by the accelerated delivery and take-out trends,” Steve Cornell, Kraft Heinz’s president of Enhancers, Specialty and Away from Home Business Unit, told TODAY Food.

Hopefully, they will be able to increase the supply so that people like Ed Sheeran can have catsup with their fries. Since I am not a fan of the red stuff, I am fine with the shortage. However, if it was ranch dressing, then I would be curled up in a corner crying.

Ed Sheeran’s Heinz Ketchup dreams keep coming true!
June 17th, 2019 under Ads, Ed Sheeran, Heinz. [ Comments: none ]

It is no secret that Ed Sheeran loves his Heinz Ketchup. He has posted about it several times and even, you might even say, harassed the company with admiration for the red condiment. They eventually gave in and created a limited amount of bottles with his name on it.

It does not stop there, he DMed an idea he had for a commercial. What did they do with it? They made the television advertiment. I think he probably likes that more than all of the awards he has gotten for his music. Don’t believe me? Here is what he said, “Okay guyz, so it actually happened. I sent a voice note to @heinz, and we made a whole tv spot around it. This is pretty much what I was aiming for in life. Ketchup ad > stadium tour.”

So, kids around the World, reading this, don’t give up on your dreams. You too can grow up and make a commercial for your favorite product. Sure, I went to college for it and did not go into it. He sends them a DM and he is an advertiser. Don’t tell my dad how much money he wasted on my education. He will be see Heinz Ketchup red!

Ed Sheeran’s dream came true!
June 5th, 2019 under Ed Sheeran, Heinz. [ Comments: none ]

loves ketchup as much as he Ed Sheeran loves singing. In fact, he has pitched the company several ideas over the years. Well, Heinz finally threw him a bone. Or should I say a ketchup bottle? For a limited time you can buy a bottle of Edchup for $5!

How does the singer, whose hair matches the color of the condiment feel about it? He wrote, “It’s actually real and you’ll be able to get your hands on one very soon #Edchup #KetchupDay #EDxHEINZ #TheDreamThatKeepsOnGiving”

I think he is in love. If Cherry Seaborn does not watch out, she might lose her lover to all the bottles of Edchup he is going to buy. I think I know a way she can keep him. She can cover herself in the red sauce and you see where I am going with this thought…

Ed Sheeran wants to do a Heinz Ketchup commercial
April 3rd, 2019 under Ed Sheeran, Heinz. [ Comments: none ]

Almost any company would love to have Ed Sheeran as their spokesperson, but he wants to work with Heinz Ketchup. Yesterday, he posted a plea on social media asking them to work with him.

He wrote, “Yo @heinz I have an idea for a tv ad if you wanna do one, if not I won’t be offended, I could never be mad at you. Slide in my DMs or have your people call my people. Lots of love, your biggest fan x”

If they do not want to work with him, then they need to fire whoever made that decision. I bet he would work for them for just free catsup for life. What a bargain!

On that note, do you say ketchup or catsup?
