Lynda Carter can still do the Wonder Woman spin!
April 4th, 2017 under DC Comics, Lynda Carter. [ Comments: 1 ]

It might be over 40 years since Lynda Carter started the doing the Wonder Woman spin, but the 65 year old can still turn around better than anyone else can.

The actress was performing at the Catalina Jazz Club over the weekend, and her friend Joely Fisher captured her doing that magical twirl during the show. Only problem is, she stayed in her pants suit and didn’t change into her Wonder Woman costume. Something I am sure she still looks extremely hot in.

Now back to her age, can you believe she is a senior citizen because she sure as heck doesn’t look anywhere close to that. Maybe there was something in that Amazonian water she was drinking back in the ’70s because she never ages.

Will Making History be history as Time After Time becomes just that
March 29th, 2017 under ABC, Arrested, DC Comics, Fox, Hulu. [ Comments: none ]

While I have been enjoying Leighton Meester on Making History, I am one of the just over 1 million people that has been watching it. Yet even though the sitcom is one of the lowest rated programs on broadcast TV, Fox is still airing it.

But that might be changing because the show’s star was arrested today. According to TMZ, Adam Pally was arrested in NYC on suspicion of smoking marijuana from an e-cig and possessing a small bag of cocaine. Why do I think his arrest will cause the show to be cancelled? If history repeats itself (no pun intende), then Fox will try to separate themselves from Pally because of his arrest. In the past they have not been fans of their stars getting in trouble with the law. But they don’t even have to justify the cancellation because the ratings for this show are beyond a disaster. Barely over 1.5 million people watched the show on Sunday in the overnight ratings and those are some very painful numbers for a show on the Big 4.

Talking about Pally, his other show The Mindy Project was picked up for a 6th and final season over at Hulu today.

Back to time traveling shows, sad news over at ABC. Starting this Sunday, Time After Time has been replaced by Match Game. While the ratings for the Kevin Williamson drama have not been good, they have been doing about twice that of Making History. I was loving the show because I was a fan of the movie, so I am upset that they pulled it from the lineup indefinitely. Why can’t they get rid of American Crime that has been doing worse than Time After Time? Oh yeah, it gets ABC award nominations, and they barely get any.

Finally some good news, Powerless will be back with an all new episode on NBC tomorrow at 8:30p. It had been replaced by Trial & Error repeats for the last two weeks, so I was getting nervous that it was never coming. Thankfully tomorrow, it will be flying back onto our TV screens.

If you have not seen DC’s first sitcom, then you are missing out on a show that is truly Super, man!

How did they screw up Justice League?
March 25th, 2017 under DC Comics. [ Comments: none ]

The first trailer is out for Justice League and it is no Avengers. The Marvel movie was enjoyable and this one just looks like it is going to be all fight with no knock out. You know it is like how Michael Bay films have so many bombs in that that they become one.

Can someone explain to me why DC Comic movies are so dark? It is like watching a 3D movie with those dark glasses without actually wearing them. Even the daytime scenes are dark. Can you someone give them daylight and color. I also miss when their costumes had bright colors on them. Now they are all black and brown. Well The Flash’s costume is red, but it is more maroon than bright red.

I am done giving my color to the trailer. I won’t be there on November 17th, will you be?

5 Things You Don’t Know About NBC’s Powerless Like Vanessa Hudgens’ All-Time Crush
February 9th, 2017 under DC Comics. [ Comments: none ]

Last week, the power of Powerless made us fall in love with DC Comic’s first comedy. Tonight at 8:30p be prepared to fall even more in love with the show that stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi and Ron Funches as the people who make the products that keep Charm city safer from the villains and superheroes.
Now we know the basics about it, what are 5 things you don’t know about it.

1 – Powerless was not originally about inventors when it first started out, the show’s executive producer Patrick Schumaker explained how it transformed into the one we now know at NBC’s TCA Winter Press Day. He said, “Let’s say 15 weeks into this, we decided that the insurance company angle was not really generating the type of storylines that we wanted to be telling, and we had a nice sit down with DC in the studio with Geoff Johns and kind of brainstormed where else we could take it that we could tell classic workplace comedy stories but in a way that kind of activates the DC universe a little bit more and brings that into the office a little bit more.” Then he added, “We landed on security products because we still wanted to do the idea that they are working on stuff that makes everybody like you or me a little bit safer in a world where demigods are flying around in the sky, wrecking buildings, causing falling rubble and that sort of thing. We thought it was more interesting to sort of go on the preventive side of things. Then, after we had hit the security angle, we sat down with NBC, and they were the ones that suggested R&D, and we loved it, kind of immediately generated stories.”

2 – One such story was last week’s pilot, Schumaker revealed. “The first episode is called Wayne or Lose. It came about because, you know, obviously, there’s a lot of recognition in the Wayne name. It is ultimately Bruce Wayne’s company. It’s a subsidiary of Wayne Industries, but this takes place in Charm City, totally, you know, made up city for this version of the show. We are saying this takes place in Earth-P, which is like power of his own, you know, universe within the overall DC multiverse.”

3 – Who is Vanessa Hudgens favorite superhero? She told us, “I love Catwoman. Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman is my all time crush. So I dressed up as Catwoman every day when I was like 4 years old. That’s the nerdy part of me, yeah.”

4 – Why does Danny Pudi look up to superheros? Because as a kid, he confessed, “In terms of, like, nerd stuff, I grew up Polish dancing.”

5 – I recognize Ron Funches, but he looks different than he did on Undateable. He proudly admitted why, “I lost 130 pounds.” Here’s how it changed him, “Lifewise, I just have more energy, and I just feel better. I am sweating less on set; so that’s good. Then I just think it’s helpful rolewise as far as people are seeing me more as, like, the full actor instead of just like a fat best friend type of thing, and also, I have sex more. So that’s good.”

As good as Powerless, so tune in tonight and every Thursday at 8:30p on NBC for superhero show that is unlike all the other ones!

Powerless is the superhero of sitcoms!!!
February 2nd, 2017 under Alan Tudyk, DC Comics, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

DC Comics is going to where is has never gone before, it is entering the world of comedy. Tonight at 8:30p, Powerless flies on to NBC as the first sitcom from the people who brought us Batman and Superman, and it is full of powerful laughs!
Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) grew up in a flyover city and she just accepted a job in Charm City. You see, flyover cities are where there aren’t any superheros and now she is moving to one where they are full of them. It is a dream come true for her, but not for the people who live there because they are so over it. Thankfully, they now have Emily, who is there to invent things that will help to keep those without powers safe.
She is the new Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises, and she has a team to help her out. They are Teddy (Danny Pudi) and Ron (Ron Funches) and they are the creative, brains and executioners behind the products. Emily is there to motivate them and they really need it.
Van Wayne (Alan Tudyk) is the boss and Bruce Wayne’s cousin, and all he wants to do is be promoted to Gotham City with all the cool people. He knows that Charm City is on its last days and he can’t wait for it to end. Therefore, he does nothing to encourage with anyone.
Too bad he hired Emily because she is there to save the day and the change the World! But how long can she keep that going? We will just have to keep tuning in every week to find out in this workplace comedy where you can see that everyone really gets along on and off of camera! Because of that chemistry this show more than works!
