Jurassic World: Dominion halts production over false positives
October 7th, 2020 under Coronavirus. [ Comments: 1 ]

COVID-19 is not afraid of dinosaurs. How do I know that? Colin Trevorrow, the director of the Jurassic Park movie that is currently filming, tweeted that his movie has to take a mandatory two-week vacation. He wrote, “Woke up to the news we had a few positive Coronavirus tests on Jurassic World: Dominion. All tested negative shortly after, but due to our safety protocols we’re going to pause for two weeks. Back soon.”

Good thing the film’s release date was pushed back a year from next summer to June 10, 2022. That gives them an extra year in case they have to take any more staycations.

On that note, isn’t it crazy that Hollywood does a better job of testing than DC? Not only that, they actually protect their workers if they think someone has the virus. Strange concept.

Chicago Med shut down for a medical reason, COVID-19
September 30th, 2020 under Coronavirus, Dick Wolf. [ Comments: none ]

The cast and crew of Chicago Med were all ready to go to work today, but instead, they are on a two-week break. That is because a crew member, who was in close proximity to the cast and crew, tested positive for COVID-19. Deadline reports this is the second person to test positive for coronavirus. The other person got the results on September 24th.

They are not the only show who is on a pandemic break, so are several series that film in Vancouver, according to Deadline. Riverdale, A Million Little Things, Charmed, Batwoman, The Mighty Ducks, Nancy Drew, and Maid, have been on pause for the last several days. Not because someone tested positive. It is because they are waiting for the test results to come back. The delay of the test results is delaying the start of production for Supergirl, Flash, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

The only show that does not have to worry about any of this is Supernatural. They already wrapped production.

KJ Apa reveals how they prep for making out scenes post-COVID-19
September 24th, 2020 under Archie Comics, Coronavirus, KJ Apa. [ Comments: none ]

A lot has changed for actors since COVID-19 happened, and one of those things is how they prepare to make out. Before, it was just go and kiss. That was then, and now there is an extra step they must do before that big moment. Riverdale’s KJ Apa and Camila Mendes showed us that they have to gargle something for a minute before they can lock lips for the camera.

I wonder how many actors are like they wished this rule was instituted earlier because kissing someone with bad breath is the worst. So many of their co-stars would purposely eat something like garlic or fish to prank their onscreen lover. That is something I would have done had I pursued acting.

Ryan Eggold reveals he had COVID-19
September 21st, 2020 under Coronavirus, Ryan Eggold. [ Comments: none ]

Ryan Eggold might play a doctor on New Amsterdam. However, in real life, he recently became a patient when he tested positive for coronavirus. The actor explained why he decided to come forward about his diagnosis now.

What better way to celebrate 400K on IG than to share with you my friends that I had #COVID19 and am okay thankfully and recently went to @mountsinainyc to donate plasma! My experience of the virus was something similar to the flu, I never had trouble breathing fortunately, but I know many others have had different, more severe experiences and my heart goes out to those who have. I think in this crazy time it’s important to figure out what concrete steps we can take to help get everyone through this. Let’s be smart not afraid. Mt. Sinai and many other hospitals are doing this amazing thing which you can read more about in the LINK IN BIO. They’re collecting plasma from folks like me who’ve had it and recovered in an effort to distill the antibodies into a more concentrated form to help treat other folks and protect our much needed frontline workers. It’s called #HyperimmuneGlobulin So if you’ve recovered from Covid I highly recommend donating your plasma. Took about an hour and was relatively painless. I don’t believe in any politician as much as I believe in people and our ability to help each other when times are tough. I’m excited for the day when we can get back to human connection, people working to feed their families and pay their rent, kids back in school… not to mention all those beautiful things that make life extraordinary like a good meal out with friends, live music, theatre, sports… all that fun stuff. And we will. With the help of amazing folks like the health care workers at Mt Sinai. I had hoped to include a few pictures of the staff who helped me but Dr. Choo bravely declined any Instagram glory 🙂 But THANK YOU Dr. Choo, Crystal, Katherine, Merle and all the amazing folks at Mt. Sinai working tirelessly to help us all get through this. Let’s get back to caring about other important things as much as we care about coronavirus. If you’re on the other side of this and you feel up to it, go donate! 🙂 Stay safe, stay smart, stay connected. And thanks 400K I’m honored to be a part of your community. Thanks for having me 💛

If you had COVID-19, then please donate covalescent plasma. You might be able to save a life. What better gift than that?

Eggold is the second actor from the NBC medical drama to test postive for it. Daniel Dae Kim tested positive early on in the pandemic.

26-year-old Paul Rudd wants you to wear a mask
September 15th, 2020 under Coronavirus, Paul Rudd. [ Comments: none ]

Paul Rudd is so sick of clueless people who don’t wear masks. Therefore, he teamed up with Governor Andrew Cuomo to create a PSA that will hopefully convince other 26-year-olds, like himself, to wear a mask. That age group is a huge spreaders of COVID-19, so if they can cover their noses and mouths, then maybe we can go to the movies again before 2022.

Don’t you miss sitting in a movie theater or going to a concert? Then wear a mask. There is no excuse now because there are so many. You can even find one that matches your personality like the ones from Naughty Bits. Go have some fun and wear a facial covering with your favorite band or sports team on it. Remember going to watch games? Want to again? You know what to do. so do it.
