Arnold Schwarzenegger posed with Shaquille O’Neal, and the bodybuilder looks scrawny next to the basketball player. But then again, who doesn’t? Shaq, at 7’1″, can humble the mightiest.
For nine years there have been rumors that we are getting a sequel to Twins called Triplets. Part of the rumor is that Eddie Murphy was going to play Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s brother. The latter is no longer the case. Their new brother is Tracy Morgan.
Ivan Reitman, who is producing the movie, explained how it all went down to Deadline. “Twins was quite successful, and some years after, this whole thing started with Arnold meeting Eddie Murphy, and the suggestion came from one of them,” Reitman said. “It was, ‘I should be a triplet, that could be a very funny comedy.’ We started a script with Eddie, and after the success he had with Amazon Prime on Coming 2 America, he got himself booked up heavily. And we knew we were going to make it at the beginning of next year. I’d been good friends with Tracy Morgan for a long time and always thought he was one of the funniest men in the world. I thought he would make a terrific triplet, and we rewrote the whole script for him. Now, we’ll go out and try and put the money together and get it made.”
And they are slated to start making it in Boston in January.
I have to admit; I am intrigued. It will be interesting to see how Morgan and DeVito play off of each other.
Loni Anderson was on Watch What Happens Live yesterday, and Andy Cohen wanted to know about her kissing scene with Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Jayne Mansfield Story.
It was the body builder’s first role, and he wanted to make sure he was authentic when he played Mickey Hargitay, Mansfield’s husband and Mariska Hargitay’s dad. Therefore, he went all-in for the kiss, and it has been reported the director had to yell cut.
“It was a pretty amazing kiss. I think I yelled, ‘cut,'” Anderson said. “It was getting pretty intimate.” She then added that he was a good kisser.
Now, let’s talk about the actress. Can you believe that she is 75 years old? She looks phenomenal. Even better than when she starred in the 1980 telemovie.
Over the weekend, Arnold Schwarzenegger held the Arnold Sports Festival, and they crowned a winner. After the winner is announced, the person poses for pictures.
As William Bonac was posing, his award wound up being strategically placed for me to enjoy. Doesn’t it look like the statuette is punching him in the dumbbell and weights? That’s all!
A few years ago, on April Fool’s Day, there was a rumor that Twins was getting a much-anticipated sequel with Eddie Murphy as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito’s triplet. We all thought it was a joke, but it turns out it was real.
Last week, when the Governator was on Howard Stern, he revealed the movie is in the writing stages. Sadly, Ivan Reitman is dragging his hands and not working on it fast enough. Arnuld says that Reitman wants to be as good as the first movie. Which is an order as tall as the Terminator himself.
I get that Reitman wants it to be perfect, look at how many sequels are dreadful. However, if you wait that long, it will never happen. This needs to happen, especially now that Murphy is hot again.
Plus, it has been so long since Twins came out, it will be like it is its own movie. If that makes sense? Do you want to see Triplets?
