Burt Reynolds continued his media tour for The Last Movie Star on Watch What Happens Live yesterday and he continued to shock us all. For the after show, someone asked him what was the weirdest piece of fan mail he got after he did a naked centerfold for Cosmo.
He revealed, “I was sent pubic hair…and it was very nice.” What did he do with his present that came wrapped in wax paper? He says, “I have it on my wall.” That has to be a conversation piece.
And talking about conversation pieces, Andy Cohen asked him about several of the roles he turned down throughout his career. The first role they talked about was Michael Corleone in The Godfather. Marlon Brando threatened to quit if he got the part that went to Al Pacino. Next up, he turned down James Bond because he did not think an American should play the spy. He regrets that stance. Did you know he was offered Richard Gere’s part in Pretty Woman? How does he feel about turning that one down? He simply said, “I am an idiot.”
The next role he was willing to kill for, but he could not out drink it or out smoke Jack Nicholson. Therefore, Jack remained the star of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Jack also got another Oscar for a role that Burt does not remember turning down and that was Terms of Endearment.
It gets worse, imagine him as Han Solo. He turned that one down because he does not like Science Fiction movies. Let’s be honest it would have been too much mustache gorgeousness if both Billy Dee Williams and him were in the film.
And then there was one more. One that made Angela Bassete say, “Stop!” Then she added, “It’s amazing he had a career.” That movie was Die Hard. Although, he does not remember turning that role.

Maury Povich and Connie Chung were on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen yesterday and they still act like newlyweds. Not that they are all lovey dovey, but after 33 years of marriage they still play around with each other. They answered questions about themselves and their careers in the post show.
Did you know that Chung had an exclusive interview with Richard Nixon during the height of Watergate and all he told her is to get more money from her job? Talking about Presidents what would she ask the current one if given the chance? She wants to know, “Has he ever seen a shrink?” That is something we all want to know.
But they also talked about their annoying habits. He hates that she always late and reads the newspaper in bed late at night when he is trying to sleep. She hates his boisterous voice and that he constantly interrupts her. Which he proved to do several times when she was answering questions. There is also another sneaky thing that Chung does that bothers her husband. She is not a smoker who buys cigarettes, but she smokes. How then? She has suppliers in the building who give her doorman a cig and he brings it up to her apartment. Which is awkward when the visiting doormen fill in. Anyways, she will light up in the bathroom and her husband always knows.
And yet after being married for a third of the century, they take the good with the bad. He does not even mind that she waited 10 years to put his name on the lease.

Brad Pitt is not the only person who has kissed Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie, the other man is Gerard Butler. Yesterday, when the latter was on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen wanted him to kiss and tell and he did.
Not by choice, but because he had to. You see, Butler was playing Plead the Fifth, and he already plead the fifth to which movie he just did for the money. So when it came to reveal which ex-Mrs Pitt is better to lock lips with, he grudgingly, emphasis on the grrrr, said “Jennifer Aniston,” but did not explain why. You would think that Jolie’s softer and bigger lips would make her better at it, does not seem like it. I guess that is that why the say, “It is not the size of the boat, but the motion in the ocean.”
Remember NBC used to have this reality competition show called The Biggest Loser and then they didn’t after a few of the contestants sued the show? Yesterday, when Bob Harper was on Watch What Happens Live, a caller wanted to know if it would be coming back.
The personal trainer told them, “There’s no talk of Loser coming back for the 18th season.” Then Andy Cohen ashed him if he wanted it to come back. Harper responded by saying, “I was on there for 17 seasons. It was good. We had fun. We had a good time. 17 good seasons.”
So I guess you can say The Biggest Loser is the biggest loser.

Anderson Cooper’s New Year’s Eve date was on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and we got to learn more about the BFFs. Things like they really do not know each other at all. Because they got every question wrong until the last one. That questions is, “Who has the higher freak number in bed?” Without hesitation, they both agreed it is the CNN anchor. With that, I am now wondering what he does to earn that number. Hopefully giggling is involved.
