Now that American Idol is ending, that means that Ryan Seacrest will be out of one of his many many many jobs in a few months. What will he do about that? Looks like he found a new job pushing food carts in a Vegas hotel, so is that the case? Nope, as he explained, “no vegas u can’t tempt me w carbs and sugar, I will stay strong in 2016 #CES2016.”
Although, he looks like a natural, doesn’t he?
Ryan Seacrest shared a Selfie he took with the judges from American Idol and I think we can all agree that Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr all come off very stiff in it. Even the energetic host looks flat.
But on a positive note, they all look picture perfect and shiny.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLYNHICiH00 Clay Aiken decided to watch American Idol yesterday for the first time in a long time and he had some choice words about the new judges, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr on Twitter.
Below are his Tweets:
Watching @americanidol for the first time in a decade. You never know what you’ve got til it’s gone. #idolpremiere
Well… now I know why the ratings are down. 😴
Oh good Lord… those boring ass responses from the judges!? Where is Simon when you need him!? That guy need a hook to pull him off stage.
It’s VERY clear now that @SimonCowell was the reason @AmericanIdol was a hit. I’ve watched root canals more entertaining than these judges.

Now that #Raleigh has shown out and these judges have put me to sleep! I’m changing over to watch my girl @tyrabanks on @black_ishabc
Then he explained his Tweets:
When your favorite team that you’ve cheered for for years happens to play a shitty game, you’re absolutely allowed to be upset about it.
We’re all more critical of the things we care about most.
When you really love something you only want the best for it, and you have high expectations from those you know are capable of it.
Does anyone disagree with him? I gave up the show when J-Lo joined it. I know we are not alone because the numbers kept dropping every time they added one of the current judges. Which eventually lead to the show getting cancelled after spending many seasons on top of the ratings charts.
They never should have let Simon Cowell go. The original judges knew talent and that is why no contestant has been a chart topper since the King of Mean left.

After 15 years and finding many phenomenal singers, American Idol begins its final season at 8p tonight on Fox. Will they find the next Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry or Carrie Underwood this year? We will just have to tune in every week to find out.
I have to admit now that the last season is finally here, I am a little teary eyed. I can remember being on the phone with mom or my friend Michael in NYC to find out who went home because I couldn’t wait three hours to find out. Remember, AI was around before Twitter and Facebook and that was the best way to find out about Jennifer Hudson or Daughtry’s surprise eliminations. It was also the way I found that Clay Aiken was robbed of the title. And I have so many more fond memories from the show. In fact, I have a friend who I didn’t talk to for a year because of the Clay/Ruben fiasco.
What are some of your favorite memories from American Idol?

Then over on CBS at 8:30p, Mike & Molly is also beginning its final season tonight. Although, CBS has yet to confirm what the actors have already told us.
The episode starts off with Mike (Billy Gardell) and Carl (Reno Wilson) still not talking, so they go to couples therapy. When that doesn’t work, they get new partners. Let’s just their new partners are really bad? Will that be enough to get them back together?
Meanwhile, Molly (Melissa McCarthy) is doing press for her book and she is awful at it. Will it ruin her sales?
Even though this is the last season, it is just as funny as the first one. I am going to miss this show when it ends, but at least we have 13 new episodes before it says goodbye.
Fox announced their fall schedule today and the biggest news from it is that American Idol is ending its momentous run after the 15th season. Even though the show has been declining in the ratings since Jennifer Lopez joined and hasn’t had a star since Adam Lambert in season 8, the news is still surprising.
On a conference call today, Fox said, “It was not an easy decision.” They know it’s been a vital show for the network but after talking with the producers they all agreed that next year is perfect time to end the show’s run.
Since next year will be the last year for the legendary show that changed television and music, they said, “it will be a true season-long goodbye.” At this point they are working on what that means and said that a lot of the contestants and the judges have expressed interest in coming back. If anyone knows where Brian Dunkleman is, they would love his phone number so he too can be part of it. How amazing would it be if he came back and hosted the show all by himself for one night! I would watch it again.
When it comes to the format, it will be just like this year with host, Ryan Seacrest, and judges, Harry Connick Jr, Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban. The show will also start off on two nights before moving to just one with no results show.
What do you thunk of the news? I am sure Seacrest has been in a ball since they told him the news.
UPDATE: Brian Dunkleman breaks his silence about American Idol’s cancellation and it’s a winner!
I knew American Idol would never last without me #CANCELLED
