Alec Baldwin will be paid to talk on TV
December 5th, 2017 under ABC, Alec Baldwin. [ Comments: none ]

Years after Alec Baldwin had a failed show on MSNBC, ABC has decided to give him a second shot at hosting a talk show. According to Page Six, it will be like his radio show Here’s the Thing With Alec Baldwin but in front of the cameras. Here’s the Thing is described as, giving “the listener unique entrée into the lives of artists, policy makers and performers. Alec sidesteps the predictable by taking listeners inside the dressing rooms, apartments, and offices of people such as comedian Chris Rock, political strategist Ed Rollins and Oscar winner Michael Douglas.”

If someone would have told me that Alec Baldwin would be a great talk show host before Match Game, I never would have believed them. Now, I say I cannot wait to see what he does with it.

If it is a go, of course. They will be taping some test episodes next week and that will give ABC their first glimpse if it should be a go. Then the tough part is finding out where to put in the overpopulated talk show space on ABC.

Katy Mixon is happy no matter what size she is!
November 14th, 2017 under ABC, American Housewife, Katy Mixon, Steve Harvey. [ Comments: none ]

When Katy Mixon was on Mike & Molly, she was skinny. Then when she was cast in American Housewife, she put on a few pounds. Even more as the season went on because she was pregnant with her first child. While most Hollywood moms cannot wait to take the weight off, she is not one them.

In fact, she tells Steve Harvey on his show today,”I am a very firm believer that it is only you in this World and therefore that is powerful. And my weight does not define me. It is not my self worth.” Then she added, “I am a very big fan of you gotta march to the beat of your own drum. Not look to the left or the right and hold your head high to walk through the fire. And realize you are not going to get it perfect every time. That is where I live. That is what I believe.”

I believe whether she is a size 2 or a size 14, she is absolutely gorgeous inside and out! And funny as all hell! If you have never seen her shows, then you really need to check her out in American Housewife every Wednesday at 9:30p on ABC.

The first new show banished to Saturdays aka cancelled is…
October 26th, 2017 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

ABC once again has the first new show to be cancelled and this year it is Ten Days in the Valley. Never heard of it. Don’t worry barely anyone else did either and that is why it is moving to Saturdays. To make matters even more depressing for the Kyra Sedgewick starrer that aired Sundays at 10p after Shark Tank. Are you saying to yourself, that is where they put Shark Tank? Sorry, got distracted like I did when I attempted to watch the pilot. What is even sadder, is that they are pulling the show effective immediately, but will not air the remaining episodes until mid-December. By then no one will remember what happened in the first four episodes. But since we are talking about maybe 2 million people, does it really matter?

What will replace it? For the next few weeks, we will get back to back episodes of Shark Tank. I guess you can say that is Mr Wonderful for us!

When it comes to what show will get the ax next, pick from ABC’s other new shows that are not called The Good Doctor. In other words, Marvel’s Inhumans, The Mayor and/or Kevin (Probably) Saves the World. The latter one is really sweet and you should watch it.

Speechless will have you laughing so hard, it’ll leave you speechless!
October 25th, 2017 under ABC, Cedric Yarbrough, Speechless. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8:30p on ABC, Speechless gets a Halloween episode that gives The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror a run for their trick or treating candy!

The DiMeo kids get into a really old bag of candy and that causes them all the hallucinate. First up is JJ (Micah Fowler) who dreams he is Linda Blair from The Exorcist. It all happens when Kenneth (Cedric Yarbrough) accidentally breaks his talking board and replaces it with a haunted Ouija board. Now anyone who uses it sounds like a demon, and JJ is going around terrorizing and killing people. Something his mom (Minnie Driver) does not have a problem with. Since the school does, they decide to do an exorcism on him before the demon is forever trapped inside of him.

Next up, Dylan (Kyla Kenedy) tries the candy and she lives Freaky Friday with Ray (Mason Cook). Ray likes being in Dylan’s body so much, he doesn’t want to switch back. Will she get her body back or will she be inside of her brother forever?

Finally, Ray gets his cut, as in Saw! All night long Maya (Driver) and Jimmy (John Ross Bowie) have been trying to escape to an Escape Room; but since the kids have been sick, they have not been able to go. Finally, everyone is OK enough to go but there is a slight problem. A Jigsaw is controlling the game and will not let them leave. Not only that, he is having torturing him. Will they get out of there alive? Who is behind the Jigsaw mask?

Did I mention that we see Kevin dress up perfectly as at least 7 Michael Jacksons throughout the Black and White years?

Tonight’s episode is such Thriller; I hope it becomes an annual treat. I will also suggest you to record this episode because you will be saying Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough and you won’t want to Beat It anytime soon.

Maze-cenrtric Lucifer, The Gifted runaways and The Good Doctor kisses and tells
October 16th, 2017 under ABC, Fox, Lucifer, Marvel Comics. [ Comments: none ]

I love Lucifer (Tom Ellis) but tonight at 8p on Fox, the episode is mostly about his even more devilish ally Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). I do not what took them three seasons to do this, but good things come to those who wait.

Maze is working as a Bounty Hunter and she has to cross over to Canada to catch her guy. Ben Rivers (Chris McKenna) is a very charming murderer, who uses his looks and appeal to get his women. Since she is Maze, she will do a lot illegal things to capture him. Once she does, she sees herself in him. There is a reason why and that reason might be the end of them. Will it be?

Seriously, this episode is so much fun that I could honestly see them spinning off Mr. and Mrs. Mazikeen Smith as a series. Whether you watch the show (which you should) or not, you will enjoy tonight’s show.

Tonight at 9p on Fox, we learn even more about the Mutants on The Gifted.

Blink (Jamie Chung) is still dealing with the after effects of overusing her powers in the pilot. One the drawbacks is that she can no longer create portals. Thunderbird (Blair Redford) and Dreamer (Elena Satine) are going to work with her to help her regain her power.

Something they are going to need sooner rather than later. That’s because the Struckers (Amy Acker, Natalie Alyn Lind and Percy Hynes White) ran away in order to rescue their patriarch (Stephen Moyer). They will go to Reed’s brother, who’s son accidentally reveals that they are staying with him. That is when a bunch of locals try to take them in. Thankfully, some of the Gifted come to rescue the Strukers at that very moment. Now they are on the run and need their Mutant abilities to save them.

When it comes to Reed (Boyer), he has been recruited to bring in Mutants in order to save his family. Now that he knows his kids are both Mutants, will that cause the District Attorney to change his outlook on them?

It is another adrenaline ride of episode and that is why people are loving this Marvel Comics show.

Finally at 10p but over on ABC, it is time for The Good Doctor. A medical drama so good, people cannot stop kissing and telling about it. Which is something we are going to learn about Dr Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) tonight.

Dr Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez) is assigned a pregnant patient, whose fetus has a tumor that is blocking its flow of blood. The parents-to-be came to Melendez because they know he has done the surgery that can save their baby. The surgeon thinks it is too risky for the mother, but Murphy comes up with a different way. Much to the dislike of his attending.

Therefore, Melendez sends him and fellow Resident Claire Browne (Antonia Thomas) down to deal with another case. An 18-year-old woman who has a boil insider of her vagina. Turns out it is not a boil, but a lesion and they have to operate. Also turns out this teen has an interesting job. One that will tell us more about Dr Murphy’s love life. He almost kissed a girl once and we will see that tonight.

There is a reason why The Good Doctor is TV #1 new show. It is because it is that good. Even if you missed the first three episodes, you can catch up on them after you watch tonight’s episode. You will be as hooked as the millions of people who are already loving this medical drama.
