Last month, Julia Louis-Dreyfus revealed that she is battling breast cancer. Yesterday she shared with us that she just completed her second round of chemotherapy and she is not going to let it ruin of her sense of humor.
Case in point she went to the treatment incognito by wearing a hoodie, oversized sunglasses and a drawn on mustache. The actress also had a song on her mind to make her time go faster and that tune is Katy Perry’s Roar. Don’t stop roaring!
One of the best natural cures for everything is laughing, so my advice to her is anytime she is feeling down to do the Elaine. That dance makes everyone happy!
Donna Mills shared a photo with her Knots Landing co-stars, Michelle Lee and Joan Van Ark and said, “Your favorite trio is back together! Exciting things #comingsoon 🎥⚡️.” Does that mean that there are working on a Knots Landing reunion? Or could it be something else? Things that make you go hmmmmmm.
Things that make you go “wow” is that fact that those three ladies are all in the mid-’70’s (76, 75 and 74) and they look just as they did in ’80s when they were doing that primetime Soap Opera we all loved. Scratch that, they all look even better now than they did then. Don’t you agree?
It has been an interesting September for Julia Louis-Dreyfus. At the beginning of the month, the actress announced that this season of Veep would be its last. Last week, she was celebrating breaking the record for the most lead actress Emmy wins by an actress. This week, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The 56-year-old broke the news on social media and is trying to be optimistic about her diagnoses. As should we. If anyone can beat cancer, it is her.
Like a lot of TV actresses, Julia Louis-Dreyfus is getting ready for television’s biggest night aka the Emmys. While we get to see them all glamorous on the red carpet, a lot goes into achieving that look. A lot more than you and I know about. Here she is getting her hair highlighted and I am sure it is not the highlight of her Emmy experience. Not even close.
In 2 years, an actress will an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy and her name will not be Julia Louis-Dreyfus for the first time in forever. That is because Veep’s upcoming 7th season will be its last. Dreyfus explained her decision to The Hollywood Reporter, “It became clear that this season should be the last season.” Then she added, “We don’t want to repeat ourselves or wear out our welcome. The story has a finality to it that feels end-of-series.” Seems obvious how the show will end its run.
Either she loses or decides not to run again. How do you feel about the political sitcom ending?
