For the last few weeks, the 4 Non Blondes’ What’s Up/Nicki Minaj’s Beez In the Trap mashup trend has been taking over social media. So much so that 4NB’s singer, Linda Perry, even did both versions with Jennifer Lopez.
However, Perry has declared that it is over. What caused her to make that declaration? Late last week, she appeared on The Howard Stern Show, and Jon Hein and Gary Dell’Abate went back-to-back and did the trend. After that, she said it has jumped the shark. Because after you see the guy who says, “Baba Booey,” mouth your words, nothing can top that!
No word from Minaj, but I am sure she will feel the same way. That is, until she gets her residuals check for her half of the trend. She does get residuals for it? Because both singles are climbing the charts.
NBC is giving us a show to cheer about, and that show is Stumble about a Junior College Cheer team and their coach, which premieres tonight at 8:30p.
Courteney Potter (Jenn Lyon) is tied for the most winningest Junior College Cheer coach, and with one more win. the title will be all hers.
What could go wrong? She gets fired for a viral video. So now she has lost her job and her winning Cheer team.
So what is she going to do? She will take a job at the nearby Headltston State Junior College.
Now, she has to build a new team, and that is not going to be easy. Krystal (Anissa Borrego), her star cheerleader, has turned her down and decided to stay where she is.
Madonna (Arianna Davis) is the first new recruit, and she is a natural tumbler. The only issue is that she suffers from narcolepsy, so she can’t stay awake.
Courtney needs a strong man on her team, so she recruits her old school’s football player, Dimarcus (Jarrett Austin Brown). He is not a team player and is hot-tempered.
Peaches (Taylor Dunbar) likes things hot, as in she steals them. The recently aged-out-of-foster-care child, Sally (Georgie Murphy), steals hearts.
Finally, there is Stevie (Ryan Pinkston), and he was one of Courtney’s first team members. He might be old, but he still has it.
But is that enough? Are they enough for Courtney to win again? We will have to tune in every week to find.

Happy’s Place is back on NBC tonight at 8p, and it is just as funny as it was last season. Actually, it might even be funnier.
The season premiere starts off with Bobbie (Reba McEntire) and Emmett (Rex Linn) still fighting their feelings for each other. However, it is getting closer to art imitating life for the real-life betrothed couple.
And this season, they are getting help from Bobby’s sister, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), and best friend, Gabby (Melissa Peterman), and the other bar’s employees, Takoda (Tokala Black Elk) and Steve (Pablo Castelblanco), when it comes to them being something more than friends.
Will they get those two together, or keep further apart? You will have to tune in to find out.
